Chapter 38: Inevitable for Enemies to Clash

Somehow, the woman who had initially been very arrogant instantly changed. She glared at Su Wanwan viciously, then entered the fitting room and slammed the door.

It did not take long for her to change out of the dress, and she stormed out of the fitting room and flung the dress at the salesgirl. “This dress is too common and has no quality at all. I don’t want it anymore!”

“You’re ugly but you’re blaming the dress for it? It seems as though Miss Li’s eyes are not working well either after staying up late so often.”

Miss Li’s expression was extremely nasty, but she just picked up her bag and left without saying anything.

“Why is that woman afraid of you?” Su Wanwan asked curiously.

“Of course she’s afraid of me,” Mo Weiyi replied with a sly grin, “I have something I can use against her.”

After paying for the clothes, both of them entered the shop next door to look around. As they were exiting the shop, they saw the woman from earlier in the hallway.

This time, there was a man standing beside her. He was quite tall and the woman was gripping his arm tightly, as though she was glued to him. She was blissfully ignoring all the strange looks that people were giving her.

“Enemies are bound to clash,” Mo Weiyi sighed, right as the two people in front of them turned around.

“Oh my god, it’s you again, Su Wanwan!”

It was the annoying Huo Zexi.

Su Wanwan felt that it really was inevitable for enemies to clash.

The woman asked in surprise, “Xixi, do you know her?”

Xixi? Su Wanwan felt like vomiting.

“How could I not?! She is the one who smashed my head with a beer bottle!” Huo Zexi snarled, glaring at Su Wanwan. Since there were no members of the Huo family around, he did not need to hide his hatred for her.

The woman immediately sneered, “You actually dare to smash Xixi’s head with a beer bottle? You really are a violent shrew!”

No wonder she was such good friends with someone like Mo Weiyi!

She could not say that out loud though.

Mo Weiyi said innocently, “Wanwan, you told me that the third young master of the Huo family is good friends with Xing Yuyun, right? Now I realize how true that is – they even like the same woman! Do you think they aim for the same hole when they play golf too?”

“Hahaha!” Su Wanwan burst out laughing at Mo Weiyi’s words.

This woman knew Xing Yuyun too? There really were a lot of things she did not know.

“What nonsense are you talking about, Mo Weiyi?!” The woman looked panicked, her face instantly turning red.

“I am talking nonsense?” Mo Weiyi smiled smugly, “I still have the pictures of you and Xing Yuyun, would you like me to send copies of them to your Xixi too? Those photos are all in high definition, so are you really sure you want me to do that?”

Huo Zexi’s expression was dark.

Li Na was a young celebrity who was just coming up in the entertainment industry, and the both of them had met at a party not too long ago. She had been chasing after him relentlessly lately, and had even managed to get his cell phone number. Since he had been hanging out nearby today, he decided to come out and meet her, but he really did not expect this.

He jerked his arm out of her grasp abruptly and yelled, “Bitch!”

“Xixi, let me explain. Young Master Xing and I are just… we are just…”

“You only had an appointment with him, right?” Mo Weiyi supplied helpfully.

“Mo Weiyi, don’t go overboard!” Li Na was furious, but since the Mo family was very established, Li Na did not dare to offend her in any way.

People around them stopped to watch the drama, and some of them even took out their phones to take pictures of the scene.

“Did this man get cuckolded by this woman?”

“I think that it’s worse than that – it seems like his woman spent the night with his good friend!”

“A woman who has been with his good friend? Wow, he really has a strange taste in women.”

“Young people nowadays like to play around, just like this couple…”

How could Huo Zexi possibly endure this kind of humiliation?

He did enjoy fooling around, but he was also very concerned about his image, so he would not fool around with just any woman.

He actually dared to hit her in public? The crowd of people watching the scene became even more excitable.

Su Wanwan was too lazy to continue watching, so she pulled Mo Weiyi away. “Come on, let’s go and shop upstairs instead.”

After Huo Zexi got rid of Li Na, he drove to the hospital to change the dressing for his wound. Unexpectedly, as soon as he stepped out of the elevator and turned the corner, he bumped into someone. He was already in an bad mood, so he roared, “Damn it, are you blind? Are you rushing to go to a funeral?!”

Su Yanyan was so angry that her face flushed red.

He was obviously the one who had bumped into her first, so how could he blame her for it?

However, she knew this was Huo Zexi, the third young master of the Huo family. He was a very famous and powerful figure in Nanchang, so Su Yanyan did not dare to offend him. She could only squat down and pick up her report before turning around to leave.

“Stop right there!” Huo Zexi grabbed her arm and demanded, “Apologize to me now!”
