Bai Chuwei glanced at Duan Feihan. He was standing outside the entrance and his expression was normal.

Tsk… he was indeed the future villain. His ability to remain calm in unexpected situations was really good!

The boss’s cheeks were flushed due to excitement and he dashed out of the shop with the order list. He stood in the middle of the plaza with a loudspeaker and yelled loudly. “Attention! Come immediately and prepare medicinal ingredients. A huge business just came in, a huge business!”

All the different suppliers in the Spiritual Medicine Hall were shocked and the place turned into a state of commotion.

The young lady’s breath whispered against his face and a faint medicinal fragrance seemed to entice him. Duan Feihan’s palm on his thigh had tightened unconsciously, wrinkling his neat and tidy trousers.

Duan Feihan articulated in a clear voice as he said, “I trust you.”

Bai Chuwei looked at the man’s calm and handsome face, but she could nor discern any sort of emotion from him. However, she noticed that the tips of his ear had turned red.

Aww! He was still as adorable as he had been in his young age.

The cold-looking little boy was awkward and proud at the same time, but had pretended to look calm. At that time, with great difficulty, he had made himself sound casual. “Since you want a hug, I’ll let you give me one.”

The image of this tall and attractive man in front of her overlapped in Bai Chuwei’s mind with that of the adorable little kid from her memories. Instantly, the alienation she felt towards him, lessened.

“Miss Bai?”

Bai Chuwei recovered and curled her red lips. “There’s no need to call me by that name anymore.”

Duan Feihan’s expression changed and an unknown warm current surged from his heart and his thin lips moved. “Then I’ll call you…”

Before he could manage to say, ‘Weiwei’, Bai Chuwei had said, “Call me sister.”[1]

That was what this adorable little kid called her in the past. Regardless of how Duan Xiuqi tried to correct him and coax him to call her ‘sister-in-law’, he only called her ‘sister’.

Duan Feihan’s usual calm and composed face suddenly cracked and he was momentarily stunned.

He was twenty-four this year and Bai Chuwei seemed to be of the same age as Duan Xingye, which meant that she had yet to reach the age of eighteen!

Just as Bai Chuwei and Duan Feihan gazes clashed, a medical apprentice came running in.

Just as she said that, a sneering female voice sounded from outside. “Bai Chuwei, we won’t sell that medicinal ingredient to you!”

Deng Manli walked into the shop with her bag and looked at Bai Chuwei in triumph.
