Ye Mu was still in a daze even after she had signed the contract with New Earth Media. Manager Ji An extended her hand to Ye Mu and politely said, “Miss Ye must perform well in the future. Don’t let me down.”

Ji An was a rather beautiful woman—her skin was fair and as cool as snow. Moreover, once she smiled and lifted her lips at the corner of her mouth. She looked especially charming. Ji An nodded. Gathering the documents from the table, she was about to report back to the company when she suddenly turned back. Then, she inquired in a low voice, “By the way, do you have a boyfriend?”

Unaware that somebody else was in the dressing room, she flung her clothes towards a chair in passing. Soon after, a muffled sound drifted over and the creaking of a chair rang out from the back.

Ye Mu was in the middle of unbuttoning her clothes when she felt something amiss. She turned her head slightly to the direction of the noise and there—she saw a half-naked man on her rattan chair. The coat that she had hurled aside earlier had covered the man’s body.

Ye Mu couldn’t help but scream in shock, “Ah…”

The man still looked sleepy as there was a lazy look on his face. Straightening his body on the chair, he glanced at Ye Mu and he didn’t seem to be in a panic. He didn’t interrupt her at all as she shouted.

“Who are you… What are you doing here?” Ye Mu stared fixedly at that man. She was secretly glad that she had only removed her coat.

The man stared at Ye Mu. He did not answer her question. Instead, he laughed, “I know you.”

“You’re the actress acting as Song Qiniang. I watched your performance yesterday. Not bad.”

Ye Mu did not recognize this actor in front of her at all. She wasn’t distracted by his smooth changing of topics as she retorted, “Don’t you know how to ask for permission before entering someone else’s dressing room?”

The man still wasn’t wearing clothing on his upper body. He stood up straight and his large statute gave people a strong sense of pressure—his abs were exceptionally taut and defined clearly enough that it made others want to look at them a few more times. He stretched his arms towards Ye Mu, but then dropped them to his sides, “I’m only here for a guest appearance. The director gave me permission to rest here for a while.”

Ye Mu watched this man suspiciously. Feeling the constant ridicule in the man’s eyes, she averted hers, “You should just go ahead and put on a shirt.”

The man wriggled his brows. With his playful disposition, how could it be easy for him to give up on making fun of her?

“I didn’t expose anything dangerous… why are you that afraid to look at me?” He said as he approached her step by step in his flip-flops.

Ye Mu retrieved her costume. She didn’t stand there and wait for the man to approach her as she quickly went for the door after retrieving her clothes.

She was still in a rush to complete her scenes today.

After getting dressed, Ye Mu entered the church they were shooting in today. Subsequently, that man—who had been in the changing room just now—also entered the set while wearing a traditional long, cyan robe.

Raising his hand to scrub the corner of his mouth, he looked towards the director and said, “Director, I think that a direct kiss would be better to emphasize that Jiang Shen really covets Song Qiniang.”

As dumbstruck as the audience, Ma Yongchun quickly regained his senses as he nodded his head hurriedly in agreement, “Very good, that was very good acting…”

Song Zhuochen’s suggestion seemed to be better than what was written in the script, so Ma Yongchun agreed implicitly.

In the entire entertainment circle, who didn’t know that Song Zhuochen was an actor famous for acting according to his emotions? The fact that Song Zhuochen was willing to make a guest appearance on this drama alone—was sincere enough to show that he had given Ma Yongchun enough respect.
