Hao’er glanced outside the courtyard and asked, “Where’s Seventeen?”

Muchen replied, “He went to buy food. He’s been gone for a while, so he should be back soon.”

Hao’er nodded and said, “Alright then, let’s go. I’ll take you both to the medical center in the city to have the doctor check you out. I’m concerned there might be something wrong, and it’s better to be safe.”

The three of them walked toward the front courtyard, crossing the array and heading toward the gate, when they saw Seventeen coming in, carrying a food box.

“Young Master Hao, Young Master Chen, Miss Yue, are you going out?” Seventeen asked, surprised.

“Seventeen, you’re back just in time.” Hao’er stopped and looked at him, asking, “Which medical hall in the city has the best doctors?”

“The most famous one in the city is Rejuvenating Hall,” Seventeen answered. “They have not only doctors, but also refiners and pharmacists.”

Seventeen then looked at the three of them, his brow furrowed. “Is someone feeling unwell? Should I send someone to get a doctor?”

“No need, we’ll go there ourselves,” Hao’er replied. “Chen’er and Yue’er aren’t feeling well, and I want to get them checked out.”

“It’s a bit far to Rejuvenating Hall, so I’ll get a carriage ready,” Seventeen said. Then, noticing the food box in his hand, he hesitated. “Young Master, Miss, would you like to eat something before we go?”

Hao’er thought for a moment and glanced at Muchen and Yue’er. He stepped forward, took the food box from Seventeen, and said, “You go ahead and prepare the carriage. We’ll eat here first.”

He led Muchen and Yue’er back to the small hall in the front yard, laid out the food, and said, “Eat a little. I’m not sure how long it will take later.”

The two little ones, clearly anxious and scared, barely touched their food, unable to eat more than a few bites. Hao’er also ate casually, and not long after, Seventeen returned to report that the carriage was ready. The group then set off for Rejuvenating Hall.

Rejuvenating Hall, being the most prestigious medical facility in the city, didn’t see many customers. The prices for both medicine and consultations were steep, so only those with serious, unsolved issues would come here. Most people who visited were either seeking consultations or buying expensive medicines and pills.

When Seventeen drove the carriage to the front of Rejuvenating Hall, he stopped and announced, “Young Masters, Miss, we’ve arrived.”

Hao’er opened the carriage curtain and glanced out. The doorway was quiet, with only a few people inside. Remembering Seventeen’s words about the exclusivity of Rejuvenating Hall, he stepped down from the carriage, leading Muchen and Yue’er out as well.

Seventeen parked the carriage and followed them into the hall.

The pharmacist running the hall noticed the children’s fine clothes and the presence of a guard in black, so he smiled and approached them.

“Young Master, how can I assist you?”

“We’re here for a consultation,” Hao’er replied, adopting the demeanor of someone much older. “Please bring forth the doctor with the best skills.”

“Of course, please follow me,” the apprentice said with a smile, leading them to the back where an elderly man waited.
