Chapter 42: Please Enjoy

“Mr. Ning, this isn’t an issue about money…” The manager was close to sweating.

This man right before him was the young master of the Ning family, and he knew quite well that he could not afford to offend him, but he could not offend the other young master even more.

Ning Yichen seemed to have sensed it as he sneered. “Does this mean that I’m not eligible enough?”

“Of course not! Mr. Ning, please don’t misunderstand.” The manager wiped his sweat as he said, “I really have no idea; please accept my apology.”

The man pursed his lips. “I won’t put you in a spot, but you have to tell me, who is vying for this bottle of wine with me?”

Upon hearing that, the manager sweated profusely.

Su Lianxi could no longer hold it in and scolded furiously, “Hey, don’t you have any idea what first come, first served means? We’ve paid the deposit, so why all this sudden change now? Do you think that we’re easy to bully?”

“Ms. Su, sorry…” The manager was close to tears.

“Forget it, Lianxi.” Ning Yichen comforted her before saying to the manager, “Bring a bottle of Latour and forget about returning the deposit.”

The manager lit up instantly and left the private room.

Yet Su Lianxi was still boiling with rage. “Yichen, why should we let it pass so easily?”

“Since there’s someone against me, why should I vent it out on a manager?” Ning Yichen sneered slightly. “It’s alright, I know what I’m doing.”

Su Lianxi could only let it go even though unhappiness still filled her face.

This hiccup spoiled everyone’s mood, including Su Guoan’s. Su Zhixi just pretended as though she had seen a good show. Regaining her appetite, she continued to eat without caring about others.

This time around, the manager entered again.

He pushed the cart in, and there was a bottle of red wine in the bucket of ice. Nobody in the private room took notice and thought that that was the Latour that Ning Yichen had ordered.

However, the manager pushed the cart to Su Zhixi’s side and smiled arduously. “Ms. Su, this… the guest in the private room next door specifically ordered for this to be sent to you.”

Su Zhixi was taken aback, just like the others.

The manager wiped his sweat and picked up that bottle of red wine. All eyes were on that bottle, and very soon, Ning Yichen was seething with rage as he smiled. “A 1982 Lafite?”

The manager shivered.

Su Zhixi widened her mouth in shock. “For me?”

“Yes…” The manager tried to put up a smile as he retrieved the bottle opener. Bang! The wine bottle was opened and he filled half a glass for the woman before saying, “Please enjoy.”

His hands were trembling while he was pouring the wine.

To tell the truth, he did not think much when that young master wanted this bottle of wine, but when he found out who he wanted to give it too, he was shocked.

He had just gotten Mr. Ning’s forgiveness, yet the next moment, he was giving the wine that had been a point of contention to someone else in the same room. The manager could not help but doubt if that other young master had some sort of fetish.

Su Zhixi stared blankly at the rich and aromatic wine. Yet in her mind, she remembered that it was rumored that the 1982 Lafite was sold for hundreds of thousand yuan at the auction… It was truly a luxury to have a bottle of wine worth so much.

By the time the manager had left with the cart, the room had fallen into pin-drop silence.

Su Zhixi picked up the glass calmly and had a mouthful… She was not drinking class but money!

“Su Zhixi,” Ning Yichen said coldly. “Do you have anything against me?”

“Could it be Young Master He?” Su Lianxi exclaimed in surprise.

Just as she said that, Su Guoan and Lin Shuyue’s expressions changed.
