Also, because of that incident with the dinner where she wasn’t able to pay the bill, many of the classmates had secretly become wary of her.

All except Yun Wei, who kept a radiant smile on her face that endeared her to anyone around her.

After school that afternoon, Yun Wei returned home.

This home that she shared with Lu Zhanting gave her a wholesome feeling.

As she opened the door, she glanced quickly at the apartment next door before walking into her own.

She entered her bedroom and put down her bag.

Before she could react, someone stood in front of her.

Apparently, Lu Zhanting had been in her room this whole time, waiting for her return.

Yun Wei only saw his figure flash before her eyes before her hands were caught in a vice-like grip.

Yun Wei felt a little dazed.

Eventually, Lu Zhanting stopped.

He looked calmly at Yun Wei, as though he were thoroughly enjoying the sight of her trying to catch her breath.

Yun Wei’s face was flushed, and a thin layer of perspiration had formed on her youthfully tender cheeks.

Yun Wei knew that this was his revenge.

Revenge for what she’d intentionally done to him earlier in the day at the lecture hall.

But then, she had caused that incident to get back at him for teasing her in the pantry, no?

Really, there seemed to be no end to this vicious cycle of retaliation.
