The entire tomb was filled with bursts of chilling wind, and Ethan Smith could be certain that the wind was heading straight for Clare Richardson!

Ethan didn’t hesitate. He grabbed Clare’s hand and walked quickly toward the indentation in the wall.

Clare’s hand was extremely cold, like holding on to a piece of ice.

After walking for a while, Ethan and Clare finally arrived at the indent.

Ethan flicked his finger, igniting a spiritual fire to provide light.

Under the dim light, Clare appeared somewhat eerie.

Her face was incredibly pale, and her pupils seemed somewhat dazed.

“Clare?” Ethan tentatively called out.

As if snapping back to reality, Clare glanced at Ethan and frowned, asking, “Where are we? Why do I feel so strange…”

“Strange feeling? What exactly do you feel?” Ethan hurriedly asked.

But Clare didn’t respond. She ignored Ethan and walked forward.

She placed her palm on the wall and slowly searched, as if looking for something.

Several minutes later, Clare’s hand suddenly stopped at a particular spot.

Her hand then flickered with light, and she struck a palm directly on the spot!

The wall crumbled instantly, revealing debris behind.

Among the debris was a small ring.

The ring was entirely green, its faint and eerie light shimmering in the darkness.

Clare picked up the ring and murmured, “This ring… it’s like it’s calling out to me.”

“Calling you?” Ethan was surprised.

“But I have a feeling that I shouldn’t take this ring away. It’s like there are two voices in my heart.” Clare’s voice trembled a bit.

The next second, a painful expression flashed across her face.

“Ah…my head hurts so much…” Clare grabbed her hair with both hands, her face contorted in pain.

Ethan hurriedly supported Clare, anxiously asking, “Clare, are you alright?”

Clare didn’t pay heed to Ethan; she continued to grasp her head, looking incredibly pained.

“Buzz!”

At that moment, the ring suddenly emitted a flash of light.

The light shot directly at Clare’s temples!

Not knowing what this light was, Ethan quickly reached out, attempting to block it in order to prevent any accidents.

But the light was too fast, instantly disappearing into Clare’s temples.

“Clare!” Ethan hurriedly supported her, his face filled with worry.

Clare stood there in silence, saying nothing.

“Clare?” Ethan tentatively called out again, but she still didn’t respond.

After a moment, Clare lifted her head, her icy pupils fixed on Ethan.

Her gaze was strikingly reminiscent of that masked woman, sending shivers down the spine!

“Are you alright?” Ethan had a bad feeling.

Clare remained silent, coldly staring at Ethan.

An extremely cold aura emanated from her body, making even Ethan feel a hint of fear.

“I’m fine.” Clare finally spoke.

She took the ring and wore it on her middle finger.

Afterward, she turned around without a word and walked away.

Ethan was at a loss, and all he could do was follow behind Clare.

They eventually exited the tomb, and the moment they left, the tomb abruptly collapsed!

Not far away, the man with the mustache hurried over and tentatively asked, “How are you guys? Everything okay?”

Before Ethan could speak, Clare coldly looked at the man with the mustache.

Feeling Clare’s icy gaze, the man with the mustache involuntarily took two steps back, his face growing more solemn.

“I’ve seen you before.” Clare looked at the man with the mustache, coldly speaking.

Upon hearing her words, the man with the mustache shuddered violently!

“We…We just met earlier.” the man with the mustache stammered.

Without a word, Clare merely coldly glanced at him.

The man with the mustache quickly turned his head away, remaining silent.

Clare also left without another word, turning and walking away.

Ethan frowned, taking a step forward to block Clare’s path.

“Clare, what’s wrong with you? What do you feel?” Ethan asked.

Clare looked at Ethan and said, “I’m alright—Ethan, thank you for taking care of me.”

“What?” Ethan became even more confused.

Clare seemed to frown, shaking her head and saying, “Never mind, I don’t know why I said that either. Just pretend you didn’t hear anything.”

This only deepened Ethan’s confusion. He furrowed his eyebrows and asked, “Did you remember something, or maybe… memories that don’t belong to you appearing in your mind?”

“No, you don’t need to worry.” Clare responded tersely.

Ethan subconsciously glanced at the man with the mustache, but at that moment, he appeared flustered, his face covered in cold sweat.

“Where’s my stuff?” Clare suddenly asked.

From the context, she was clearly asking about the mask.

“The mask isn’t safe with you, so I decided to keep it for you temporarily,” Ethan answered.

However, Clare coldly responded, “It’s safest in my hands.”

Before her words could even fade, Ethan felt the Spatial Magic Artifact trembling.

The next second, the mask actually flew out of the Spatial Magic Artifact and landed in Clare’s hand.

Clare stroked the mask, whispering, “How strange… What kind of feeling is this?”

“What feeling?” Ethan hurriedly asked.

Clare shook her head, saying, “It’s nothing, Ethan. I need to go on a long journey.”

“A long journey? Where to? I’ll come with you.” Ethan frowned.

“You don’t need to. There seems to be a voice in my heart that’s been calling out to me.” Clare sighed softly.

“I don’t know what’s causing it, but my intuition tells me I have to go.”

Ethan tightened his brows and asked, “What if I don’t let you go?”

Hearing his words, Clare’s face instantly darkened.

An intense surge of dark energy erupted from her body!
