The next day, Smith went to the construction site again.

He was there to submit the project for approval. He would receive the final payment so long as the construction passed the inspection.

Funding was not always immediately available. This was the same for important projects.

He might first get a 30% down payment.

After the final stage, the remaining 40% will be paid.

The supervisor stopped Smith. After all, he was not done with Smith just yet.

“What project?” Smith asked curiously.

He did not expect a project to come knocking on his door. This was like a pie falling from the sky.

“We still have some toilet modification projects. There are a total of three toilets. The total amount of the project is 900,000 yuan. I wonder if you’re willing to accept it?”

The supervisor explained the project to him.

Smith looked at him strangely. He had thought of many projects, but he did not expect that it would be a toilet modification project.

The investigators stayed around the three toilets to observe the construction process.

“Check the identity of those construction workers immediately!”

The workers that Smith found were all 35 years old, and they somehow ended up in the same place. All of them had lost their parents, and they did not have spouses.
