Chapter 29: Resentment of the Ghost Infant

Hearing the scream from upstairs again, I got up and ran up the stairs.

The ghost infant released Su Yulan to protect himself and fled.

Su Yulan slipped, fell onto the ground and coughed fiercely. I didn’t have time to take care of her and started chasing after the ghost infant.

The ghost infant ran very fast. He dashed around the house, making a mess of the place. Many antique vases and decorations fell from the cabinet and broke into pieces.

In a few seconds, the house had become a complete wreck. The ghost infant still avoided my attack at lightning speed.

I stared at his movement, dazzled. He was too fast and I couldn’t catch him at all.

The ghost infant warned me.

His voice seemed to be coming from all directions at the same time. I couldn’t find any signs of him and could only see black shadows flashing in front of me.

He was spinning around me and I started to feel dizzy. My stomach started to get upset and I was about to vomit.

The ghost infant said bitterly and he started crying. His cries were hysterical, giving me the chills.
