Chapter 483: Chapter 482: Li Tianwen Visits
In the small courtyard, Yaya lay on the ground, staring intently in the direction of the living room.
The moment she saw Shao Zifeng come out, a glimmer of joy flashed in her amber-colored eyes.
“Gurgle~”
Reaching out to touch Yaya’s large head that was extended over, Shao Zifeng looked around and asked, “Yaya, where’s that big fat cat from just now?”
Yaya tilted her head as if trying to grasp what ‘cat’ meant, and then, showing a look of sudden realization, slowly stood up.
The Gold Striped Yellow Racoon lay on its back, a lump on the ground, gazing at the night sky with lifeless eyes, its tongue hanging slack at one corner of its mouth, dripping with thick liquid, and it seemed to be exhaling far more than it was inhaling.
“Gurgle?”
Yaya kicked at it with her paw, but the Gold Striped Yellow Racoon remained still as if dead, prompting her to panic like a child who’d done something wrong, looking helplessly at Shao Zifeng.
“Yaya, how could you do this to the cat?” Shao Zifeng exclaimed with an expression of heart-wrenching pain.
“Gurgle…”
Yaya hung her head in self-reproach.
Shao Zifeng waved his hand and sighed, “Well, well, it’s too late for words now, but since you’ve killed the cat, you must be punished.”
The Gold Striped Yellow Racoon’s little ears twitched, and a hint of smugness flashed through her vacant eyes.
Indeed, she was still important after all.
This big guy had bullied her all night, and now it was time for revenge.
Thinking this, the big fat cat couldn’t help but tremble slightly with excitement.
“Your punishment will be to eat this fat cat and save us the trouble of it taking up space.”
“Meow!!!”
Upon hearing this, the Gold Striped Yellow Racoon sprang up from the ground, its body fat rolling like waves as it cried out.
Shao Yuying called out loudly, “Zifeng, what’s wrong?”
“Stop yelling,” Shao Zifeng said as he pinched the Gold Striped Yellow Racoon’s chubby face harshly, “or I’ll really let Yaya eat you.”
The meowing stopped abruptly, and the fur on the Yellow Racoon seemed utterly dejected.
Shao Zifeng slowly released its chubby face and called back loudly, “Mom, go to sleep. I’m just bonding with Da Huang.”
“Got it, get some rest yourself too.”
As the door closed, silence fell upon the living room.
“Zifeng, Zifeng, what’s going on? Are you going to kill the fat cat?” Before long, Qiqi came out with an excited look, for how could a cat with a curious nature sleep at a time like this?
She circled around Shao Zifeng and then said somewhat disappointedly, “Aw, and here I thought you were going to hit it.”
“Meow~”
The Gold Striped Yellow Racoon let out a soft meow against the grain, seeing only darkness ahead.
Shao Zifeng spread his hands in front of her, revealing a piece of bone, “Where did you find this thing?”
“Meow!”
Seeing her treasure in the hands of the big bad guy, the Gold Striped Yellow Racoon moved to snatch it back, but then she held herself back.
Her eyes moving shadily, she quickly understood that now Shao Zifeng needed something from her.
Giving Shao Zifeng a sidelong glance, the Gold Striped Yellow Racoon lay on the ground, acting as if she was too aloof to bother with him.
“Are you going to talk or not? If not, I’m letting Qiqi hit you.”
“Meow~” The fat cat rolled over.
“Yaya hasn’t eaten today, and you being so fat must taste delicious.”
“Meow~”
The Gold Striped Yellow Racoon exposed her snow-white belly in a posture of complete resignation.
Now, even Shao Zifeng felt a bit helpless as he couldn’t actually let Yaya eat her.
After thinking for a while, he whispered something to Qiqi, who nodded and then lightly trotted upstairs. Soon after, she returned carrying a small pouch in her mouth.
“Thank you, Qiqi.”
After taking the pouch, Shao Zifeng instinctively reached out to pat her head but was nimbly dodged.
Qiqi wrinkled her little nose, “You stink!”
Shao Zifeng laughed awkwardly and opened the pouch, pulling out an unattributed energy potion and shaking it in front of the Yellow Racoon.
“Meow!”
The Gold Striped Yellow Racoon’s attention was immediately caught by the energy potion, her eyes following its trajectory back and forth.
“Tell me where you found the bone, and I’ll exchange it with this, how about that?”
“Meow…” The Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon showed a struggle in its gaze and then extended its little paw: “Meow meow.”
“No way!” Shao Zifeng shook his head firmly, “No kidding, five is absolutely impossible.”
“Meow meow meow!” The Yellow Raccoon argued forcefully with its paws extended.
Seeing that neither could convince the other, Qiqi, who was licking her paws on the side, floated in with a sentence: “It’s saying two.”
Shao Zifeng’s expression froze, who the hell knows your cat’s paws mean two.
“Two then, you tell me and I’ll give you two.”
“Meow~” The Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon shook its short, stubby tail.
“What’s it saying?” Shao Zifeng turned to Qiqi once again.
Without a contract, this part is rather troublesome; you can’t understand a word it says.
“It says give it one to drink first, then it will tell you,” Qiqi seemed uninterested in the energy potion and continued licking her paws.
Shao Zifeng nodded and opened the energy potion he was holding, handing it to the Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon.
The creature instantly perked up, hugged Shao Zifeng’s wrist with its two short paws, and licked at the potion in a manner that Qiqi found quite disdainful.
“Burp~ Meow.”
Having finished the energy potion, the Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon lay satisfied on the ground, wanting to rub its belly with its paws but found itself in the same dilemma as Yaya due to its chubbiness.
In the end, it gave up and lay on the ground humming contentedly.
“You’ve had your drink, now you can tell me,” Shao Zifeng said.
Upon hearing Shao Zifeng’s voice, the Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon glanced at him sideways and waved its paw at him after turning away.
Shao Zifeng was bewildered, what did that mean now?
That’s when Qiqi came closer, looking at the Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon with a semblance of a smile: “It says it doesn’t remember now, so forget about the second one.”
Damn it!
Shao Zifeng’s eyes widened as he looked at the fat cat lying on the ground and then at the empty bottle in his hand.
Was he just played by a cat?
Looking at the lazily lying Gold Striped Yellow Raccoon, an infuriated Shao Zifeng with anger rising from his gall yelled, “Yaya, beat it up for me!”
“Gurgle!”
“Meow—-!!!!”
The shrill scream once again pierced the night, and the lights in the surrounding houses lit up one by one.
After giving the fat cat a good beating, Shao Zifeng felt much better.
To think that he, Shao Zifeng, who had traveled far and wide, was tricked by a cat in his own home.
After warning it to look primarily for such shattered bones next time it went treasure hunting, Shao Zifeng returned to his room.
Around eight in the morning, Qiqi squatted on Shao Zifeng’s chest, her long tail sweeping back and forth over his nose: “Wake up, lazy Zifeng, wake up~”
Shao Zifeng, heavy with sleep, frowned and waved his hand unconsciously: “Let me sleep a bit more.”
Woof woof woof!
Suddenly, the Chasing Moon Dog’s barking came from the yard, and Shao Zifeng immediately sat up, alert.
As a Chasing Moon Dog with intelligence not lower than average, it would only bark like this if it encountered someone it perceived as dangerous.
Shao Zifeng hurriedly picked up Qiqi, placed her aside, and quickly got dressed.
When he opened the room door, the golden morning light filled the entire room, casting a long shadow of his form.
Shao Zifeng squinted his eyes and saw that his mother had already opened the front door, sticking her head out and talking to someone, while the Chasing Moon Dog stood behind her, watching the outside warily.
“Mom, who is it?” Shao Zifeng asked, going downstairs while keeping on guard.
Shao’s mother turned her head, giving him a puzzled look, then stepped aside to reveal two people in military uniforms.
He glanced at their epaulets.
A golden sword entangled with a dragon, teeth-bared and claws-extended.
A general’s rank?
Shao Zifeng quickly raised his head to see two familiar faces coming into his view.
Li Tianwen cracked a smile: “Classmate Shao, long time no see.”
