Chapter 146.2 – Extra Chapter 5

The meal was basically left uneaten.

Qi Yang ate a single bite of food and had to drink until her mouth was full. Seeing her tragic appearance, how could Lu Qipei dare follow her footsteps? She filled her bowl with soup and rinsed the dishes before eating them, but she still couldn’t handle the spiciness that remained, so she could only eat some more bell peppers, but she couldn’t keep competing with Lu Sheng for dishes.

So in the end, no one but Lu Sheng had enough to eat. As for calling the waiter to change the dishes? The dishes on this inn had already left a shadow in Qi Yang’s heart, and she didn’t want to try the “not spicy” dishes the waiter mentioned anymore. She’d just go out and take a look – it was a festival, and it was more lively than usual, so there should be a lot of snacks for sale. Planning to go out for food, the group left the inn after the ‘dinner’. Two attendants followed them, and the family of three walked leisurely, quickly merging into the crowd of people in the county town.

Qi Yang was not in a hurry to go to the temple to join the excitement. She chose from left to right and bought a bowl of glutinous rice balls on the street; it was sweet!

Previously, Qi Yang was not that addicted to sweets. She was used to eating gourmet food and could eat any kind of foot. But after the small inn’s Hunan dishes almost made her cry from spiciness, she had started feeling a bit unable to handle spicy food… It really left her with lingering fears.

This glutinous rice balls she was eating right now was very good. She ate them one at a time, wrapped in soy flour and sugar, it was much cuter than Hunan cuisine!

Qi Yang ate a couple and felt that it tasted good, then remembering that Lu Qipei had not eaten much earlier, she casually fed one to Lu Qipei’s mouth. But after feeding her sweetheart, she saw Lu Sheng’s sparkling eyes when she lowered her head…

Summer was over, and the weather was cool when autumn came. Lu Sheng, who once hugged the rabbit until they both suffered heatstroke, had abandoned the cage and hugged the fat bunny in her arms again. She looked up at Qi Yang with a hint of anticipation in her dark yet sparkling eyes.

Qi Yang looked at the glutinous rice ball in her hand and was not stingy. She smiled and also fed the little radish head.

Three people ate one bowl of glutinous rice balls, so it was finished in just a few bites. Qi Yang was naturally not full and wanted to find some other food. However, when she casually looked up, she saw a man in a celebration team that was passing by. This big man was holding rice ears on his hands, and a ring of chili peppers were hung around his neck – red, hot and spicy, just looking at it made her feel the chili peppers in her mouth down to her stomach!

Qi Yang couldn’t help but pursing her lips when she saw this, as if the hot and spicy taste from before had returned to her mouth.

At this moment, for some reason the rabbit in Lu Sheng’s arms suddenly jumped out of her arms with a kick. Lu Sheng was startled and quickly shouted “Little Rabbit” before chasing after it.

There were a lot of people on the street at this moment, and Qi Yang and Lu Qipei did not dare to let Lu Sheng run around alone. Accidents were likely to happen when there were many people, and there were also incidents where kidnappers would take away children in the chaos, so the two of them quickly chased after her.

Fortunately, the rabbit didn’t run too far. After coming down to the ground, it only took a few steps before suddenly stopping again.

Qi Yang and Lu Qipei chased after it and saw a red chili pepper lying on the ground in front of the rabbit. Maybe it had fallen from the big man’s neck earlier? But this was not the point. The point was that the two of them watched as the rabbit curiously stared at the chili pepper, then bit into the red little fruit with a “squeak”…

In the next moment, the rabbit’s fur exploded and it jumped three feet up on the stop, too agitated to stop.

Qi Yang’s lips curved as she laughed mercilessly.
