While she thought about it, she took a bite of the steak. It was really good and reminded her of the steak she had in Ye Chengwei’s villa. They tasted alike. To give it a thought, the steak back then must have used the best part of beef and cooked carefully as well.

After they ate for a while, waiters had brought the wine. And Zheng Yingzhi’s voice was heard in a good timing. “Sorry, may I have your attention please? I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone again for your effort in our company. Let’s have a drink. Hopefully our team can be stronger and more stable. Cheers!”

They all raised the glass.

Gao Enying was about to drink when she suddenly saw a hale and hearty man in suits walking to Zheng Yingzhi.

The man was so tall and strong that the tall Zheng Yingzhi was like a bird standing next to him. He had a pair of rimless glasses on and looked gentle. The warm smile added extra charm to him.

He was not young and might be above 50. But his calm attitude and hearty spirit made him look young and also charming in maturity.

He cheered with Zheng Yingzhi softly and kept smiling.

Zheng Yingzhi looked at him with hearty delight. She was obviously in love with him. Her sight to her lover shone like diamond. There was no need to hide it, nor could it be withheld.

“My God! Isn’t he the second richest person in A City, Gu Cheng?”

“It’s him. I saw his picture on the financial magazine. He looked gentle just like this.”

“No wonder my boss would like to treat us in such a fancy restaurant. There’s a big boss buying it.”

“Gu Cheng is the boyfriend of our boss. What a rich man…”

Everyone gossiped and looked at the couple with envy, jealousy and hate. Although Gu Cheng was almost as old as their fathers, they still dreamed of chasing after him and money.

Gao Enying didn’t say anything. She just drank her wine and cut her steak.

“I thought rich businessmen must be fat, but Gu Cheng was more like a scholar than a businessman.” An Ran admired him a little.

Gao Enying stopped cutting her steak and looked at An Ran. She said absentmindedly, “If the steak gets cold, it will lose its flavor.”

An Ran shrugged and went on cutting steak.

Outstanding as Gu Cheng was, he was from her father’s generation.

After Zheng Yingzhi and Gu Cheng drank with each other, they picked up another two glasses of wine from the waiter’s tray. Zheng Yingzhi said softly, “I want to make toasts to thank my best employees. Would you accompany me?”

“Sure.” Gu Cheng had a low voice.

Then Zheng Yingzhi walked first to Gao Enying, hand in hand with Gu Cheng. Gao Enying was concentrating on eating her steak and didn’t notice their cometh. Zheng Yingzhi patted her shoulder gently and called her, “Enying.”

Gao Enying was startled but soon she took her glass and stood up. She turned to Zheng Yingzhi and smiled at her. “CEO Zheng.”

She looked at Gu Cheng and smiled again.

Gu Cheng’s eyes were deep behind the lenses. He made a smile back at her out of a kind gesture.

Zheng Yingzhi raised her glass and made a toast to Gao Enying, “Enying, I must make a toast to you. You are doing great. Keep it up. There’s great potential for you in the company.”
