The bell rang for the end of class.

Everyone in the classroom immediately turned to look at the two of them, their eyes loaded with nosy curiosity.

Jiang Yingying suddenly walked to Ye Moqing with breakfast in hand and said nervously. “Third Young Master, you haven’t had breakfast yet, right? I bought two portions today. This is for you.”

Ye Moqing was frowning when he saw a sneer on Xia Jinmian’s face. His mood instantly became even more irritable.

“Take it away!”

Jiang Yingying was taken aback. She took the breakfast and ran out of the classroom with red eyes.

“Tsk!” Xia Jinmian shook her head and continued to flip through her textbook.

Ye Moqing stared at Xia Jinmian. He got the vibe that she regarded him with contempt.

The classes in the morning were all revision. The pace in Express Class was very fast; the average student would not be able to catch up at all.

The teacher who taught Express Class seemed to have a problem with Xia Jinmian. The occasional glances he gave her were laden with disdain and disappointment.

“Why? He’s not afraid to use underhanded means but won’t let me say it loud? Don’t tell me that person is a real nincompoop? You are the epitome of the saying ‘One ill weed mars a whole pot of pottage’!”

“…” Xia Jinmian smiled meaningfully. She stared at Ye Moqing and calmly lowered her head to eat her lunch, ignoring him.

Ye Moqing was inexplicably flustered by the stare. He whipped out his cell phone and took a photograph of Xia Jinmian, wanting to send it to his underlings to do a background check on her.

He wanted to know just who she was, to dare to be so rude and arrogant to him!

Xia Jinmian snatched his cell phone away.

She swiftly deleted the photo and slammed the cell phone on the table. She glared at Ye Moqing coldly and warned, “I hate having my photo taken. Do this again and I’ll cripple your hand!”

Ye Moqing did not miss the murderous intent in Xia Jinmian’s eyes nor did he dare to doubt the veracity of her words at all.

Ye Moqing felt that he asked for it as he retrieved his phone.

This girl was too fierce, like a dragon lady.

No one would like such a girl!

There were many female students in the canteen who were stealing glances at Ye Moqing. When they saw him take the initiative to sit opposite Xia Jinmian and did not retaliate after being chided, everyone started gossiping about and guessing their relationship.

“Does Third Young Master know that girl? Otherwise, why would Third Young Master take the initiative to talk to her?”
