Chapter 48: I Want to Make a Film 1

With some effort, she managed to squeeze herself onto public transport. It was peak hour for work, so it was crowded. Ye Yunxi took a deep breath and worked her way to the back to get herself a seat.

“Hey?” The two people in the seat in front of her looked like Dad and his assistant.

Ye Yunxi leaned forward. It really was Dad.

What were they talking about?

She leaned further forward.

“Director Ye, what do we do now. It’s hard getting money.”

Zhang Yu had been assisting Ye Junpo for three years, and even though he had not been getting paid, he did not leave. This was because he had a passion for the industry.

Now, the situation didn’t look too optimistic—no matter which way one looked at it, it seemed like the Director’s name had been sullied.

“Those people are despicable. We haven’t even started filming; why can’t we get a refund?”

Zhang Yu’s eyes reddened. It had taken a lot of hard work for them to get where they were now; they had everything—and money, but they still weren’t able to make a film!

It was infuriating.

“Don’t worry, we’ll think of a way.”

At this point, Ye Junpo turned around to comfort Zhang Yu. However, Ye Yunxi knew there was no solution.

It seemed she had guessed right. Dad was sabotaged, so there was no way he could have gotten any money back.

“It makes me angry just to think about it, I really feel like beating them up!”

“I’ve arrived. Don’t be rash, I’ll think of a way!”

Ye Junpo waved as he got off the bus. Seeing that the seat next to Zhang Yu was now empty, Ye Yunxi squeezed herself over and sat down.

“Big Brother Zhang!”

Still troubled over the matter, Zhang Yu looked up when he heard her voice. Then he saw Ye Yunxi slipping into the seat next to him.

“Hey? Miss… Miss Ye?”

He had some impression of Ye Junpo’s two kids, but it seemed like this young daughter of his changed a lot in the last few years?

“Dad just called me. He said you should let me have the list of names of the people who refuse to pay up.”

Ye Yunxi smiled.

“Huh?”

“Let you have the list?”

“But Director Ye already knows…”

“Dad wants a record.”

“Oh, I see.”

Zhang Yu drew out a piece of paper without giving it a second thought. It was a record of where the money had been spent, addresses, and contact details.

“Here, keep it safe, don’t lose it!”

“Uh-huh. Don’t worry!”

Ye Yunxi smiled at him sweetly, her face lighting up and glowing so exuberantly that it put Zhang Yu in a daze.

Was Miss Ye this good looking??

“Really, the changes girls go through as they grow up is tremendous!”

“Oh, why did you stop filming?”

“Initially, we had settled on a script; that was why your father raised funds for the filming. Having worked hard to get the money and put everything in place, the screenwriter disappeared.”

“Disappeared?”

“That’s right!” Zhang Yu clenched his jaw and continued, “I’m sure someone sabotaged us, and furthermore, when we lost the script, the actors started to give excuses and said they weren’t going to turn up. Without a script and actors, how could we continue!”

Zhang Yu lamented.

So this was what had happened.

Ye Yunxi frowned

10,000 Awesomeness EXP points were no big deal; she could earn that quickly, but this Physical strength…

Ye Yunxi narrowed her eyes. She had trained for three days and only got 1 point; it would rise to 2 after she had eaten!

Ye Yunxi waved and jumped out of the bus.

The problem was with the script and the actors; hence, she would only need to get these in place.
