- Chapter 733 - Chapter 733 Chapter 733 Sudden Witness of PDA
Chapter 733: Chapter 733 Sudden Witness of PDA Chapter 733: Chapter 733 Sudden Witness of PDA Brandon Piers felt Abigail Green’s comforting movement. The emptiness in his heart for over a month was instantly filled. The previous gloom was swept away, and he held her tighter in his arms.
Abigail could barely breathe from the tight hug, so she reached out and patted his back.
Brandon reluctantly let go.
Abigail had already noticed the numerous cuts on Brandon’s face, but they were much more visible up close. Although none of them were deep, seeing these wounds on his exceptionally handsome face made one feel particularly heartbroken.
Without saying anything else, Abigail pulled Brandon towards the hospital. “We need to treat your wounds.”
“I’m fine.” Brandon loved seeing Abigail worry about him. Although he said he was fine, he let her pull him forward.
At this moment, Pullan ran over. “Second Young Master, why are you still here? Dr. Morse is already waiting for you.” Then he noticed Abigail holding Brandon’s hand and was shocked. “Have you and the Young Madam made up?”
Brandon shot Pullan a look as if to say, “Are you blind?” Then he followed Abigail.
Abigail stopped and looked at Pullan. “Where is Dr. Morse?”
“Over… over there.” Abigail’s gaze made Pullan feel a bit uncomfortable. Even though Abigail had successfully lost weight some time ago, Pullan was still not used to her new appearance.
The lack of excess weight made her face overly aggressive, exceptionally beautiful even without makeup.
Sometimes Pullan felt the Young Madam hadn’t just lost weight but had removed some kind of seal.
“Alright, let’s go to Dr. Morse for treatment.” Abigail knew this hospital was under Evergrowing, and given the current conflict between Brandon and Joshua Piers, it was better not to go to the latter’s hospital.
Pullan hurriedly nodded, his curiosity still focused on Abigail’s face. But he quickly received a lethal glare and immediately lowered his head, complaining internally. He was just curious, without any other intentions.
Unfortunately, Brandon didn’t care about his thoughts. He couldn’t tolerate anyone staring at Abigail.
Abigail glanced at Brandon, amused. She wondered how he had managed all this time.
Just before they reached Dr. Morse’s car, a few hospital guards blocked their path.
Brandon raised his eyes and looked through the gaps between the guards at Joshua Piers, who was not far away. His gaze turned cold.
Pullan stepped forward. “Move.”
“Mr. Joshua would like Miss Green to come over.” The guards ignored Pullan. A man in a suit stepped forward and addressed Abigail politely.
“The surgery is over. I have nothing to discuss with Mr. Joshua,” Abigail replied coldly.
“Mr. Joshua wants to talk to you about Miss Dorothy’s surgery,” the suited man immediately changed his approach.
Brandon’s face grew increasingly dark. “Get out.”
As he finished speaking, Kennan Max arrived with people to stand in front of Brandon and Abigail.
The suited man hesitated and instinctively looked toward Joshua, then raised his hand, and more than a dozen additional guards surrounded them.
Abigail took a deep breath and looked at Joshua from a distance, her voice suddenly louder. “Mr. Joshua, what is the meaning of this?”
“Dorothy’s condition is still unstable. I hope Abigail Green can wait a bit longer. After all, we still have a bet, don’t we?” Joshua walked closer, smiling at Abigail. His gaze finally settled on Brandon’s arm wrapped around Abigail’s waist, his eyes darkening.
Brandon cast a cold glance at Joshua, then turned his head, his eyes immediately softening. “Abigail, don’t mind him. Let’s go.”
“If I remember correctly, Brandon is about to marry Miss Swift. Isn’t it inappropriate to have his arms around another woman?” Joshua shifted his focus to Brandon.
The two men stared at each other. The summer air seemed to drop several degrees.
Abigail frowned. She almost forgot about this matter. If the media caught them now, who knew what would be said? Plus, this was Joshua’s territory. If a conflict arose, Brandon’s people might not come out on top.
Besides, she was somewhat worried about the child.
As the two men faced off, neither willing to back down, Abigail gently patted Brandon. “I’ll go check on the child.”
“Abigail…” Brandon’s voice was full of reluctance.
He didn’t know if it was his imagination, but just now, he thought he saw appreciation and a hint of possessiveness in Joshua’s gaze towards Abigail.
But the feeling vanished so quickly that he wasn’t sure.
“Don’t worry. It’s broad daylight, and Captain Scout is around. Joshua won’t dare do anything to me.” Abigail deliberately mentioned Luke Scout.
“I’ll go with you.” Brandon realized Abigail had already made her decision. He understood that with Joshua involved and knowing Abigail’s character, she mostly wanted to see the patient’s condition. He nodded.
He could let Abigail go, but he had to be by her side.
Joshua sneered, feeling as if he had been exposed. It seemed that after being caught, he had nothing left to lose.
Brandon’s words finished, Abigail looked at him and asked, “Is that alright?”
“If it wasn’t okay, would you still go?” Joshua asked with a half-smile.
“No.” Abigail’s reply was firm.
Satisfied, Brandon rubbed Abigail’s head affectionately with his chin, as if to say, “Good girl.”
Joshua’s face darkened but he said nothing, knowing that if his men clashed with Brandon’s in such a situation, he might not win.
Besides, he genuinely needed Abigail for Dorothy.
“In that case, please follow me to the hospital.” Joshua signaled to the suited man and then walked towards the hospital.
Brandon held Abigail’s hand and followed slowly, with Pullan and Kennan Max close behind.
In the ward, Abigail thoroughly examined Dorothy Piers’ condition, then looked at Joshua. “The patient is out of danger now. She needs good rest once she wakes up. If you don’t believe me, ask your hospital’s cardiologists.”
Joshua stared at Abigail for a moment, then waved his hand. Immediately, all the hospital’s cardiologists were brought over.
They quickly confirmed Abigail’s assessment.
Especially Doctor Graham, a doctor in his forties who had already heard about the girl’s surgery. After the examination, he looked at Abigail with fervor. “Are you Dr. Green? You performed the surgery on this child in the ambulance, in just one and a half hours? Where did you train, and how long have you been a doctor? You look young, is it because you appear so? Would you be interested in joining our hospital? I can offer you my position as the head of surgery…”
Abigail was prepared for challenges, ready with countermeasures. But she wasn’t prepared for this sincere enthusiasm.
Even Joshua was surprised but showed no intention of intervening, watching his hospital’s doctors trying to poach someone right in front of Piers’ CEO.
Brandon, however, seemed not at all upset. Instead, he looked proud, as if the praise meant for Abigail was actually for him.
Once again, Joshua felt as if he was force-fed more “witness PDA”!
