Chapter 711: Chapter 708 Wax Pill

Huo Sining’s mind and eyes were completely filled with the ivory carving in her backpack, and thinking about the secret hidden in the base of that carving made her itch to get back to the Huang Family right away.

After taking the elevator down to the exit of the Ghost Market, Zhou Shitao immediately called and summoned the middleman from before.

Apparently not expecting Wei Yanli to be there, the middleman showed a slight surprise, nodded to Wei Yanli with a respectful, “Wei Shao,” as a greeting, and then respectfully opened the car door, inviting Huo Sining and the other two to get in.

Meanwhile, Huo Sining and her two companions arrived back home. It was already past midnight. Huo Sining, however, was exceptionally excited, not the least bit sleepy. As soon as she arrived at the Huang Family, she rushed into her room and locked the door behind her.

She took the ivory-carved Guanyin statue out of her backpack and followed the spot she had touched before, trying to carefully break open the crack that was filled with plaster.

However, the silicone was tightly sealed to the base, and despite her significant efforts, Huo Sining was not able to pry it open.

Unlike stone carvings, ivory carvings can be easily damaged if handled too roughly. Huo Sining didn’t want the ivory to break, so she had to think of another way.

After some thought, she took a piece of wire, heated it until it was red-hot over a candle, and then slowly threaded it through the silicone on the base of the ivory carving.

Upon contact with the scorching wire, the silicone immediately produced a strong burning smell, but the wire did manage to pierce a hole in it.

Since the wire wasn’t thick, it could only make a hole half a centimeter in size at a time. After several heatings, she melted a gap two to three centimeters wide in the base.

With her hand unable to fit through, Huo Sining had no choice but to stand the ivory carving up and shake it vigorously. However, after several shakes, the wax pill didn’t fall out from inside the ivory carving.

Using her Heavenly Eye Skill, she could see the wax pill was indeed still there. But during the process of melting the silicone with the hot wire, the wax pill also encountered the high temperature and partially melted, causing it to stick to the inner wall of the ivory carving.

Huo Sining had to pick up the charred wire again, wait for it to cool, twist it into a hook, and then probe it through the hole in the base , stirring around in the crack until she hooked the wax pill out.
