Training outside the school had always been a thankless task. There would always be a few troublemakers who would jump out and cause trouble. He didn’t ask Xia Jinyuan where he would bring Ye Jian for training mainly because he trusted Xia Jinyuan.

When he said that he would bring Ye Jian out for training, he meant it.

Xia Jinyuan raised his eyebrows and gave the same roguish smile that gave the dean the most headache in the past. “Then we might as well skip the training. I’ll find someone else to take over. 45 days later, Ye Jian will report back to school on time.”

The dean got angry again. He slammed the table and shouted, “Bullshit. If you don’t want to train her, then don’t. Can you make a decision for her?”

He could really make decisions for her. He also knew that based on his understanding of Ye Jian, she definitely didn’t want to be trained outside the school where there would be trouble. However, he couldn’t say this directly to the dean.

Before he could speak, the dean’s voice was cold. “Xia Jinyuan, don’t ruin Ye Jian’s future. Outstanding students have training evaluations. Out-of-school training can show her ability. She must have experience outside of school.”

Xia Jinyuan was stunned for a moment before asking, “When did such a rule exist? This wasn’t around back in my time.”

“Just how many years older are you than Ye Jian? Let’s talk about you, then. Why didn’t you mention how you messed around in the past?” The dean glared at him angrily. He picked up the teacup and took a few more sips of the gradually warming tea.

This kid had graduated for many years. Even if he was a lieutenant colonel, he could still anger him.

Xia Jinyuan knew that Ye Jian’s syllabus couldn’t be changed, so he could only accept it.

However, he still had to fight for time.

In the end, Ye Jian could train for two weeks. She also needed to go to the school one day in advance to understand the situation. Hence, she could take 15 days.

After deducting 15 days from the 45-day holiday, there was still one month. It was good enough!

Ye Jian, who was still in the laboratory, didn’t know that her 45 days of vacation had been divided up just like that. However, she had no objections to this.

He came to the National Science University to look for Ye Jian and show the sentinel his valid identification document.
