“That’s fine, let’s not worry about them. How did you sleep last night?” Qin Xue looked at her and saw that her complexion was better than yesterday, indicating that she did manage to get some sleep.

“It was okay, I slept for half the night.” Nangong Beiying had actually slept for half the day, so she felt much more energetic than yesterday.

“What happened? Why only half the night? Did you have a nightmare?” Qin Xue took a sip of porridge and looked at Nangong Beiying.

“Yeah, I had a dream, so I couldn’t sleep after waking up. How about you? How’s your injury?” Nangong Beiying had only glanced at Qin Xue yesterday and didn’t check her injuries, so she had no idea how they were.

“I’m fine, just a small fall that scratched my skin a bit. It’ll be fully healed in a few days.” Qin Xue used the best medicine for her injury and had good recovery capabilities, so she wasn’t worried about such a minor injury.

“It’s good that you’re okay. I want to go with you today too.” Nangong Beiying didn’t know what method Qin Xue had, but she wanted to see.

“You’ll know in the future. For now, let’s eat and then get to work.” Qin Xue placed a bun in front of her, dismissing her with a few words.

“Alright, I won’t ask.” Qing Teng thought about how Qin Xue said she’d know in the future, so she decided to wait and see.

Qin Xue was very satisfied with Qing Teng’s ability to not pry into things she and others didn’t want to talk about, which was one of her favorite traits in people.

“Yingying, if you can handle it, then join us. Let’s take a look at this place we’ve stayed for nearly two months; we probably won’t come back again.” Qin Xue thought about how they had stayed in this place for so long, something she didn’t realize until she thought about it and was quite shocked.

They had unknowingly spent so much time doing these things; fortunately, now she had found a method. Regardless of its effectiveness, they should try it first.

“Sure, I’ll come with you later. By the way, Xuexue, can you give me some more of what you gave me yesterday? I felt much better after eating it.” Nangong Beiying now felt much less nausea.

So now she wanted to have more, so she could eat more later. Only by eating could she have the strength.

“Sure, most of the ingredients are ginseng and such. There’s no problem with you having more, just don’t overdo it, okay?” Qin Xue readily agreed.

“I won’t.” Nangong Beiying wasn’t treating it like a meal, she just wanted to adjust to her current situation, alright?

Qing Teng quietly continued eating breakfast, listening to the two ladies without asking more questions. She knew she should listen more, speak less, and do more.

“Xue’er, how’s your injury?” Chu Molin arrived when Qin Xue and the others had finished breakfast. Seeing Qin Xue in good spirits, he assumed her injury was not serious.

“As you can see, I’m doing just fine. Don’t worry, it’s just a minor scrape, nothing serious.” Qin Xue was really amused by them; their first question whenever they met was always about how her injury was. It’s not a serious wound; it’s just a small cut. If she’s careful, there won’t be any issues. She had good medicine, and using it, she wasn’t afraid of infection. Everything was fine this way.
