The incessant knocking on the door showed Sister Jun’s fury.

Shi Su could not figure out whether her senior sister knew what was going on or something had happened, but since the latter had come upstairs without making a call, it seemed to be the former.

“Shi Su, open the door quickly!”

The knocking at the door turned to crashing sounds, and she turned to look at the calm man sitting by the bed in annoyance. “Can you hide for a while?”

Jing Jihan looked at her. “Your daughter’s father’s relative?”

“No, it’s my boss.” She was too lazy to give a detailed explanation and just hurriedly helped him up. “Cooperate with me. I’ve already helped you so much, you can’t make things bad for me. If my boss finds out that there’s a man in my house, she’ll tear me apart!”

“The boss even takes care of your private life?” The man’s expression was not very warm because of the woman outside’s violent smashing of the door. Shi Su did not seem like the kind of poor white lotus who could be bullied by her boss.

“Sigh. Just hurry up and hide first!” Shi Su pulled him up. The house was so small that she did not really have a place to hide him, so she dragged him into the bathroom and pulled the curtains over him. After letting him enter the innermost side, she quickly closed the bedroom door and hurriedly opened the front door before her senior sister could end up crashing it.

When the door opened, Sister Jun pushed her aside with a steely face sans waiting for her to speak. She threw her bag down and rolled up her sleeves. “You waited the whole day to open the door. I wanna see where you hid your toy boy!”

She has a son coming back to study; didn’t you know about it? Before he can find a place to stay, he has to stay here temporarily for a few days. Auntie doesn’t wanna trouble me and refuses to live here, so I bought her son’s supplies to prepare for it first. This way, she can bring her son over, lest they find lodging outside.”

Fortunately, the nanny really did have a son that old.

Sister Jun glanced at the master bedroom and saw the things placed on the bed. The home clothes, with tags still there, were about to be hung inside the closet, and they did not seem to have been tried on before. Her expression gradually eased.

Shi Su was about to say something when her senior sister suddenly walked into the master bedroom and asked blankly, “Where is the little white bear on the bed?”

“It’s in Mianmian’s room. She keeps wanting to sleep with the bear these days.”

The woman glanced at her. “I just saw two pillows on Mianmian’s cot. Isn’t she already sleeping by herself?”

“A few days ago, she accidentally changed to the wrong channel on TV and saw a horror movie. She was so scared that she couldn’t fall asleep at night, so I’ve been sleeping with her these days…”

Sister Jun scolded her. “Forget it; I’ve been here multiple times over the years to see your daughter. Don’t I know what your house usually looks like?”
