Su Ye looked at her assailant. It was Su Jiuguo—Su Ye’s own father. He was clothed in embroidered robes, and was rather short and pudgy. Above his beard, his eyes were wide and glaring at her furiously.
Beside them, Xiao Xing was kneeling down quietly.
Seeing that her father was that furious, Su Ye smiled and tried to explain, “Ah, I had no choice, Father…”
Before she could finish, Su Jiuguo stomped on the shattered teacup, causing it to crunch loudly as he barked, “You had no choice? I think you must have been enamored by some filth to resort to emptying our coffers!”
Su Jiuguo was clearly speaking out of rage, and he paused for a moment to think about it.
