Chapter 384: Let’s Break Up!
 

Qi Shan was so scared that he could not sleep well for an entire night.

From time to time, he kept flipping his blanket open to check. He wanted to see if his little buddy down there had indeed recovered. And after a while, he was finally overwhelmed with fatigue, and he fell asleep.

2 hours later, Qi Shan jerked awaked from his bed again. He quickly looked at the lower half of his body and… nothing had changed.

He lay back in his bed in disappointment.

It did not work.

His little brother had not recovered.

Sob!

His sex life was now totally ruined!

Qi Shan gloomily raised his phone, wanting to send some messages to Su Ye. It was then that he saw some messages in the ‘Happy Idiots’ chat group.

Zhen Shanmei: [Hey, are you alive? You haven’t replied to my messages for an entire day! @Qi Shan]

Ning Meng: [You never know. He could actually be dead.]

Zhen Shanmei: [My guess is your hubby has given him too many tasks! His last message was him telling me that he had work to do. And then, no more sound from him. Ning Meng, Qi Shan is mine, okay? Can you tell your hubby to give him some space? Don’t bully him all the time!]

Ning Meng: [Sure, I can ask him to give your Qi Shan some space. However, you should at least gimme something in return.]

Zhen Shanmei: [?]

Ning Meng: [LV is about to release their newest bag model! I heard it’s made of crocodile skin!]

5 minutes later.

Zhen Shanmei: [There! I’ve ordered it and it’s already on its way to your home right now.]

“…”

Qi Shan stared at his phone speechlessly.

What the hell! She was so wasteful! How could she give in to to the missus’ every whim?!

Nonetheless, he felt a surge of warmth in his heart when he saw “Qi Shan is mine”. Well, it was a mix of warmth and sadness.

Sobs… if Meimei knew that he was now no different from a eunuch, she would probably leave him.

Of course, he couldn’t possibly selfishly keep her to himself, widowing her with a sexless life.

Thus, Qi Shan mustered up his courage and sent a message to the group.

Qi Shan: [Let’s break up! @Zhen Shanmei]

Zhen Shanmei: [?]

Ning Meng: [?]

Qi Shan: [I’ve given it a lot of thought. You and me… I don’t think it’s working. We could break up now and still be friends…]

Ning Meng: [Hey, has your brain turned into a pile of sh*t after eating that bird poo? Or are you sleep-walking?]

Qi Shan: [?? Bird poo? When did I ever eat a bird poo?]

Ning Meng: [You know, that day when we were at the mall’s rooftop. That cake that you’d eaten had bird poo in it.]

Qi Shan: [???]

He finally now recalled that the cake indeed had a slightly different “taste” to it. It had a weird stinging smell… no, “stinking” was the better word for it. Ugh, now that he thought of it, he felt as though his stomach had curled up to the point that he wanted to vomit.

When he was going to fight fiercely with the missus in “Happy Idiots”, Qi Shan saw Zhen Shanmei’s reply.

Zhen Shanmei: [Ah, I see. Sure, let’s break up.]

Qi Shan’s finger instantly froze above his phone’s screen. It felt as though his heart had been pierced through by a sharp blade.

Qi Shan’s head went completely blank as he stared at her words, not knowing what to say to her. A moment later, Qi Shan let out a sigh as he put away his phone.

He lay down again on his bed as a sour gloom wrenched up his guts.

When he decided to go steady with Zhen Shanmei, Qi Shan had thought that he was just “trying out” to see if their relationship would work. He did not think that he would actually fall in love with her. He did not think he would fall for her so deeply.

Now, it felt as though a huge chunk of his heart had been dug out…

Qi Shan sighed.

‘It was for the best…’

Ding Dong!

Suddenly, his doorbell was rung.

Qi Shan picked up his phone, wanting to send a private WeChat message to Zhen Shanmei. After drafting up a proper goodbye for her and pressing “send”, all that Qi Shan could see was a huge red exclamation mark above his message.

Qi Shan stood up from his bed in defeat and walked toward the door. When he opened it, he was shocked by what he saw.
