Shen Bei was usually so busy with work that his meal times were often irregular. Over time, he has found that his stomach wasn’t as good as before. Now, if he didn’t eat properly or ate spicy food, it would start aching right away.

Even though Shen Bei didn’t respond, Xu Feng could clearly see hints of joy on his face.

Soon, Huo Man came back with some medicine and a bottle of water.

“Take some medicine as having a stomach ache isn’t very good.” Huo Man handed him the medicine and the water bottle. “Next time, just tell me if you can’t eat spicy foods.”

There was a subtle hint of blame in Huo Man’s tone. Shen Bei nodded and took the medicine while still enduring the pain in his stomach.

But after taking the medicine, Shen Bei’s stomach ails were finally relieved.

Seeing as he was no longer clutching his stomach in pain, Huo Man finally got to relax. She would have felt bad if Shen Bei fell ill because of her.

It was already late when she got home.

She pushed open the door and looked coldly at the family of four huddled in the living room. She went straight towards the kitchen to get a glass of water.

But before she could do so, Liang Yu’s angry voice stopped her.

Huo Man stopped and turned to look at the angry Liang Yu and Huo Yan, with the latter’s face covered in bruises.

She had to admit that those men were truly brutal. They actually really beat up the campus belle, Huo Yan, to this extent.

“Is there anything?” Huo Man asked without a care in the world.

“Huo Man! Did you have anything to do with Huo Yan getting beaten up?!” Huo Cheng stared at Huo Man and asked.

Huo Man sneered, “Do you think I can find someone to deal with Huo Yan as a new incoming student at Jiali High? Aren’t I just a country bumpkin? How did I become so powerful?”

Huo Man’s words left Liang Yu and Huo Cheng speechless.

Indeed, today was Huo Man’s first day at that school. How could she have gotten to know her classmates so quickly and even manage to have them deal with Huo Yan?

“Are you guys just playing with me?”

You’d better behave yourself at school and not cause trouble!” Huo Cheng frowned as he looked at her receding back before adding, “And don’t come back home so late in the future! Since you’re part of the Huo Family again, you’ll have to follow our rules! How can a young lady of a noble family wander outside so late at night!”
