“There’s a car; they could give us a lift,” she said excitedly, waving her hand.

The jeep slowly decelerated and then stopped in front of them, rolling down the window to reveal the determined chin of the man’s profile. The man in the driver’s seat wore a pair of black sunglasses, which made him look even cooler.

In the ’80s, few people wore sunglasses, simply because they didn’t have the opportunity. And even if they did, the styles were so outdated they’d make your teeth hurt. This man’s sunglasses looked very much like the kind worn in future Hollywood blockbusters by Americans.
