It was a scene where the supporting actress and female lead got into a catfight. She had to be dragged into the sea and almost drowned to death by the heroine.

The female lead went to the actress, Wan Ruier, who was all the rage. The supporting part went to Qin Jiaxuan, who gained wild popularity for her portrayal of a villainous supporting role in a palace intrigue drama.

With her back facing the camera, Ji Anning stood face to face with Qin Jiaxuan.

Ji Anning was all set to go. The director shouted, “action”. Before Ji Anning realized, the woman with a bob hairdo reached out and grasped her by the hair.

She yelled in agony, “Ah…”

It was as though her scalp got ripped off.

“Cut.”

The director suddenly yelled for them to stop. Then quickly scolded, “Aren’t you a body double? We don’t need to hear your shouting. You don’t need to make any noise at all.”

It meant that she could not scream even if it hurt. Yes, she was in so much pain she forgot. She was a body double and in the middle of filming.

Ji Anning nodded her head in acknowledgment. Then she went back to the same spot. She straightened out her hair and started over.

Similarly, once the director shouted, “action”, Qin Jiaxuan pounced murderously on her. Pulling her hair, she pulled her into the water.

Ji Anning endured the pain of being dragged into the water.

Qin Jiaxuan suddenly broke out laughing.

Then she let go of her hand and looked apologetically at the director.

During filming, it was inevitable to break character and laugh. They could only retake the shot.

Ji Anning felt as though this scalp was no longer hers. Her eyes had turned red. The makeup artist tied her hair and prepared to continue filming.

“Did the body double piss Qin Jiaxuan off?”

Qi Helian lay languidly on his personal recliner. It had a large umbrella over it, which provided ample shade for both his agent and assistant.

In the mood for some drama, he drank cold drinks as he watched Ji Anning. It was all rather satisfying.

“Are things going well?”

Swiftly, a towering silhouette came over to the group from behind and walked until he was next to Qi Helian.

The familiar voice made Qi Helian’s eyes light up. His pair of narrow phoenix-shaped eyes flashed excitedly. Raising his eyelids, he looked up, “Hohoho, Young Master Ji, I missed you so much.”

At that, he flipped over. Reaching his arms out, he attempted to embrace the man next to him. Seeming to have anticipated his gesture, he retreated a step back to evade Qi Helian’s bear hug. Then he lowered his eyes contemptuously and took a peek at him.
