Pursing her lips, Yang Danning offered no denial as she said, “The last time I saw him was when I visited M Country last year but I didn’t even get to eat with him.”

Her eyes glistened vibrantly as she sped. She was undisguisedly fond of Ji Chicheng and her ardent pining was apparent.

Ji Anning momentarily stared at her lost in thought before playfully probing, “Yang Danning, are you hoping to become my elder?”

“Hmph,” Yang Danning pouted as she hummed and said, “It’s better for you if I become your elder. Those sisters, Ji Xiangting and Ji Ruoqian, won’t get to bully you anymore.”

At the sound of that, Ji Anning smiled without answering then turned to look out the window. As it was already autumn, leaves on the tall sycamore trees had started turning yellow, some had even drifted to the ground.

The fallen leaves on the ground swirled up wildly into the air as the wheels passed over them.

Time seemed to have faded, then fell into dark bright eyes, and she pursed her lips into a gentle smile.

As the new school term commenced in autumn, when the leaves began to fall, it left an inexplicable sensation in their hearts.

“What’s on your mind?”

Ji Anning was staring out the window, lost in thought, when Yang Danning swiftly gave her a gentle nudge, “Do you mind that I want to be with your little uncle?”

Ji Anning burst out laughing then looked sideways at Yang Danning, “What’s there to mind? My bestie turning into my little aunt doesn’t affect me one bit.”

Although Miss Yang was usually carefree, she blushed upon hearing Ji Anning say, “little aunt”, but then she went on being impervious to any embarrassment, “Then you have to help me more from now on.”

“Me?” Ji Anning quizzically pointed at herself and blinked at Yang Danning, “Do you want me to help you get together with Little Uncle?”

“Yup,” Yang Danning nodded in affirmation.

Ji Anning pouted her lips, “Erm… how do you want to help? What can I help you with?”

Whenever the fellow saw her, he was reluctant even to lift his eyelids. What use was she to her?

It must be a joke.

“Your little uncle got hired by T Uni. He’s going to become the youngest lecturer ever to grace its halls and also happens… to be the best-looking one,” grinned Yang Danning brightly, unable to contain her exhilaration.

Ji Anning was taken aback by the news, “What?”

Ji Chicheng was coming to their university as a lecturer… no less?

Oh my god. He was a mere four years her senior, but already became her lecturer in her freshman year.

Perhaps God’s unfairness should upset her?

Yet, there was nothing unjust about it as the T University teaching blocks were all donated by the Jis.
