“Does it look like something is wrong with me?” Ji Anning pouted and rolled her eyes at Yang Danning. Turning, her hand reached out of the car to feel the wind run over it, she leisurely narrowed her eyes, “Miss Yang, go faster. Take me for a spin.”

As she wished, Yang Danning stepped on the accelerator.

Ji Anning narrowed her eyes and shut them. Under the bright moonlight, her exquisite little face seemed enshrouded by melancholy.

As Yang Danning could not read the thoughts running through her friend’s mind, she probed, “Anning, did something happen to you recently?”

“Nope.” Ji Anning shook her head in denial without opening her eyes.

Bathing in the warm wind, she urged Yang Danning to speed up repeatedly.

As the wind grew stronger and stronger, she hoped it could sweep away all the troubles and frustration by undoing the nightmare that occurred last night and make her whole again.

Ji Anning shook her head gently, “I don’t need a ride. I can make it home on my own.”

Yang Danning frowned. “How are you going back?”

“I want to take a walk on my own,” Ji Anning curved her lips and turned her gaze on the surface of the majestic and surging ocean.

As Yang Danning watched her, she sensed something weighing on her mind. But if she was reluctant to talk about it, she did not want to force her.

“Sigh,” she helplessly sighed and said, “I’ll head back first then. You be careful.”

“Mhm,” Ji Anning gently nodded her head and urged her, “Slow down on your way back.”

“I know,” Yang Danning twitched her lips.

She turned to leave.

All on her own now, Ji Anning dejectedly lowered her eyelids, staring at the cup of milk tea in her hands distractedly.

Time slipped by until she started to yawn nonstop.

She was so drowsy!

As she found it unbearable, she finished the last mouthful of milk tea. Looking at the trash can beyond two meters away, she aimed and executed the perfect basketball shot throwing the milk tea cup in.

“Wow, a three-point shot.”

Ji Anning pursed her lips satisfactorily. With both hands in her jean pockets, she sauntered towards the bus stop.

In her dreams, Ji Anning felt out of breath like something was bearing down on her and sealing her lips shut.

“Wu.”

In a daze, she frowned as she shook her head and wrestled with all her might.

Perhaps the struggling paid off because the blockage on her mouth suddenly disappeared, and she gasped breathlessly.

A thought abruptly crossed her mind, and she had an inkling. In terror, she swiftly opened her eyes, but she was surrounded by darkness.

Her eyes got blindfolded again!

Keenly sensing her eyes were covered, there was no light to speak of other than this horrifying darkness.

It was precisely the same as the other night.

His scorching breath floated very gently and sensually by her ear, leaving her trembling.
