Upon saying so, he turned to walk towards the bedroom on the left.

Clothes that she could wear? Ladieswear?

Why would there be women’s clothing in his apartment?

Unless…

Ha. Since he was probably a normal man, it was no surprise for women to visit his apartment.

Looking away from Ji Chicheng, Ji Anning glanced towards the room on the right-hand side with its door closed.

Either way, she had to change. Since he suggested it, there was no need to care which woman the clothes belonged to.

As she thought of that, she walked in the same direction.

When she arrived at the door, she reached her hand out for the door handle pushing it open with a gentle turn.

In the pitch-black room, a familiar scent wafted into her nose. It was only apparent for a short spell of time before swiftly dissipating.

Was… was this his room?

Ji Anning turned to look across her. The bedroom which Ji Chicheng entered earlier was south-facing and must have been the main bedroom.

Reaching her hand out to the wall, she felt around for the light switch. After turning on the switch, everything lit up.

The empty bedroom left Ji Anning in a shock. Without even a bed, it contained only two rather compact gym equipment.

His scent probably got left behind in the room because he exercised here.

Without any thought, Ji Anning entered the bedroom, headed to the wardrobe, and opened its doors.

Heavens!

With her mouth agape, Ji Anning got dumbstruck, looking at the contents of the wardrobe.

Was this what he meant by “some” clothes? Was this only some?

It was obviously an entire wardrobe filled from top to bottom with dresses and garments all sorted by category hanging there.

Also, every item appeared brand new.

But Ji Ruoqian and the others did not repeat outfits for a few months in a row, and each item they wore appeared brand new.

So it was unsurprising, and she was merely stunned by the sheer quantity.

It seems this woman must be cohabiting with him.

Was it possible that a girlfriend he met overseas returned to the country with him since he came back for merely a few days?

Oh… this fellow kept his secret so well. Should she tell Danning or at least remind her, so she does not have so much wishful thinking that she ended up getting too involved?

Based on her understanding of the fellow, he was too lazy even to say a word more. If he were not sincerely interested in a woman, he definitely would not waste his time.

At the sight of the wardrobe full of clothes, she could establish how much he adored her.

“What are you looking at?”

Staring at the clothing in the wardrobe, Ji Anning went into a daze. Suddenly, the man’s lovely voice came from the door.

He was indifferent as usual.

Sheepishly shocked as though caught red-handed gossiping about someone else, she shook her head slightly awkwardly, “No. I wasn’t looking at anything.”

Her eyes stopped lingering on the man’s face, rapidly sweeping across his body before veering them towards the wardrobe absent-mindedly again.

She reached out to take a rose-red dress randomly, which reached around her knees in length and was sleeveless.

When she picked it, she was inattentive, merely glancing at it cursorily after taking it down.

Before managing to study it, holding it with both hands in her pockets, she leaned against the door frame lazily and smiled at Ji Chicheng, “Little Uncle, how about lending me this to wear?

Glancing at the dress mildly, Ji Chicheng pursed his lips without making any comment.

“I’ll quickly get changed in the bathroom,” with the dress in hand, Ji Anning lowered her head and walked past Ji Chicheng.
