Chapter 48: Unexpected Time Alone – Part 4

In a twinkling cascade, tears came down. As she was afraid of being seen, she covered her mouth and ran out of sight.

Since she purchased high-speed rail tickets ahead of time, she arrived on the dot sitting by the window seat. Because she just cried, she was a little tired.

With her head leaning against the window, her eyes gazed at the scenery outside vacuously.

“From now on, you are a Ji and will have incomparably respectable status in the future, so forget your parents or else you’ll not only hurt yourself but your parents too.”

“Don’t hit me. I won’t run and ask for Mommy again.”

She was lost in thought when the mobile phone in her bag abruptly vibrated a couple of times, pulling her out of reverie. After wiping the tears with her hand, she then took out the mobile phone from her bag. On the screen was a notification for a text message from an unknown phone number.

“Baby, what are you doing?”

Upon seeing its contents, Ji Anning was certain it got sent wrongly and prepared to put her mobile phone back into her bag.

Suddenly, came another text message.

“My dear Anan, what are you doing?”

Anan… Ji Anning got stunned, and she promptly grew cautious in her heart.

“Who is it?”

She guardedly replied with a text message, and the sender instantly responded, “A few days ago, we just slept together. How can you forget about me so quickly?”

Heavens! It was the fellow who raped her!

Thanks to him, she lived a life worse than death all these days and genuinely considered suicide. How dare he come and harass her yet again?

Very quickly, fury surged in Ji Anning’s heart, “You monster. You’re going to the depths of hell.”

Then he replied, “Then before I go to hell, I must love you hard.”

The words, “love you hard”, gave Ji Anning the creeps.

She cautioned, “I’m warning you. If you dare touch me again, I’ll call the cops for sure.”

“I’m simply going to touch you. I’m going to touch you. I’m going to touch you.. I simply love touching you. Believe it or not, I’m going to touch you tonight.”

Tonight? Ji Anning shuddered. Swiftly deleting the messages, she blacklisted this phone number.

Tonight, she was not going out. She was determined not to go out tonight. If she did not go out, surely the fellow would not dare come over to her place and move in on her.

As Ji Anning contemplated, she fell asleep in a daze.

Sigh. It was Saturday tomorrow.

When she got home, Ji Anning stood outside the courtyard entrance as she sighed for a moment before she walked in sometime after 6:00 pm. Ji Ruoqian had already returned from school.

Hearing her voice coming from the living room, Ji Anning mentally prepared herself to face the mother and daughter’s coldness after entering.

“Oh, Ji Anning. Taking our time, are we?”

As anticipated, the moment Ji Anning set foot through the door, came Ji Ruoqian’s cynical voice.

Without paying any attention, she changed her shoes and went into the house. When she went by the couch to see Lin Yanqin sitting there, she nodded slightly and went straight for the staircase.

“Aren’t you attending the event at the Cultural Affairs Bureau?”

The event at the Cultural Affairs Bureau!

Oh yes. Today was Friday.

Staring in surprise, Ji Anning halted in her steps. After going into a daze for a second, she hastily took the phone out of her bag, turning it on as she hurried upstairs.

After turning on the phone, she received several text messages from Yang Yufang. Yang Yufang asked what time she was arriving home and why she could not be reached on the phone. As Yang Yufang already headed there first, she told her to call a cab and go on her own when she got back.

While Ji Anning walked, she finished reading the text messages. When she made it to her bedroom, she opened the wardrobe to instantly see the two dresses that she and Yang Yufang went out shopping for yesterday.

One was white, and the other was light yellow.
