The house fell silent.

It also seemed to be empty.

Without Taotao, everyone was not used to it.

Ms. Fang’s gaze fell upon Anan, Shao Qing, Shao Junyan, and the other grandchildren. Her expression softened, and she smiled, a sense of relief washing over her.

Both Ms. Fang and Eldest Uncle concurred with this decision.

After a lively lunch, Ms. Fang took Taotao aside, holding her hand as they conversed privately. She imparted advice, guiding Taotao on what lay ahead.

Later, Taotao informed Qiao Xuan that she and Zhao Shu planned to visit Fifth Brother and Fifth Sister-in-law in Anze Province after departing from the Zhao Family clan…

Qiao Xuan nodded approvingly, his smile warm. “No need to worry. I believe Brother-in-law enjoys exploring too. Take your time; we’ll meet eventually!”

As the clock struck past four in the afternoon, Taotao reluctantly bid farewell, unable to linger any longer. With Zhao Shu by her side, she departed.

Handing over the responsibility to Chunyu was deemed a wise decision. Both Ms. Xu and Yang Xiaoni felt that as long as it wasn’t entrusted to someone else, everything would be fine. Otherwise, it would be too embarrassing for them to handle.

Qiao Xuan stayed at home for a few more days and stayed at First Madame’s place for three days. She checked the orchards outside the city, and it was almost April when she returned to the State City of Anze.

After a lengthy journey, they were finally reunited. Shao Yunduan remained with Qiao Xuan for a few days.

Late spring had already ushered in scorching temperatures. Within the final stretch of spring, various flowers and trees brimmed with energy, preparing for the impending summer. The air hung heavy with the sweet scent of blossoms, inducing a sense of lethargy and drowsiness.
