“Where’s Bai Yi…” Lan Ou asked hoarsely, his voice rough with his nearly disabled right hand hanging.

“He went through that door while we were fighting.”

Xiaohongmao lifted her snow-white right hand and pointed behind her.

“Then let’s go too.”

Ke Mingye said as he turned around and shakily walked toward the door; his heart pounding, his steps quickening, the pain from his arm disregarded, aware that Bai Zini was just behind that door.

Just by passing through this door… he could see her.

At this moment, from all directions suddenly came a strange noise, Lan Ou glanced sideways to see faceless puppets all covered in pale grey. They looked exactly like the super-giant puppets that had ravaged the city, only shrunk down more than a hundredfold, to the size of an ordinary adult.

Seeing this, Xiaohongmao slightly lowered her hood and turned her head to ask Lan Ou, “Shall I stay behind?”

“No.”

Lan Ou shook his head, and suddenly a figure descended from the sky on Wind Fire Wheels.

Xiaohongmao looked up.

The person wore a dark red metal ghost mask with a gaze as black and vacant as the void, two dreadlocks falling from the holes in the back of the helmet, gently swaying under the blood-red canopy.

He was dressed in a black and red metal short coat, one sleeve seemingly burnt off, revealing a wrist with prominent veins and a faint redness. Each of his feet stood on dark gold wheels spinning at high speeds, sparks continually flickering from the edges, supporting him floating midair.

In his hand, he held a bizarre long spear–with flame-shaped tassels drifting slowly like red embers, the shaft engraved with patterns of flame circles; the spearhead likewise gleamed with a cold, fierce flame.

Xiaohongmao looked up, her gaze lingering for a moment on the ghost mask on Divine Communicator Nezha’s face, meeting the pitch-black emptiness of his eyes, then shifted her gaze back to Lan Ou.

“Leave these puppets to him… we go save Bai Zini.”

Behind the mask, Ke Mingye said hoarsely, then took a breath, and without paying further attention to his injured right arm, walked quickly toward the giant door at the base of the Witches’ statue.

“Got it.”

Xiaohongmao nodded, dismounting from the sled, and followed by Ke Mingye’s side.

Soon after, their figures faded into the shadows behind the giant door, vanishing from sight.
