“Take your time to consider.” With that, Ye Ming left, not waiting for Yang Yuxi to reply. Yang Yuxi glared angrily at him. She wanted to say loudly that she did not need to consider. She could not wait to leap forward to bite off a chunk of his flesh. She wanted to say that there was no need for her to consider his proposal. She would never agree to it. But in the end, she could not say a single word, because she had to think about what Ye Ming said previously. Given his authority, if he really wanted to do anything to her parents and brother, it would be disastrous.

He Min came forward to show Yang Yuxi the way out. They left the living room and reached the courtyard when she spoke up. “Miss Yang, I advise you to agree to it. No one can say no to what Young Master intends to do. You have no other choice.” There was a melancholic look in Yang Yuxi’s eyes. “Is this how he forced all of you to work for him?”

“Of course not. We are orphans taken in by the Ye family. It is the Ye family that took us in and sent us to school. Young master never forces any of us to do anything. You are the exception,” He Min said. “If so, should I feel honored?” Yang Yuxi mocked. “I know that Miss Yang feels indignant and you will not agree with what I said. But it is indeed an honor to be fancied by Young master,” He Min said.

“I would rather not have this honor.” Yang Yuxi rolled her eyes. “Miss Yang, Young master doesn’t treat you like the others.” He Min paused before saying, “In the past, Young master never brought any ladies to meet us, not to mention brewing tea for her. You are the first lady to drink the rare tea brewed by Young master.”

“He brewed the tea?” Yang Yuxi asked, feeling wary. “Of course. Young master has great tea brewing skills. He is the best contemporary tea ceremony master. He is the one who proposed and implemented the concept of rare ujeon tea.” He Min had a look of worship on her face at the mention of Ye Ming.

“He is merely a baller who knows how to enjoy life. This is not worth complimenting.” Yang Yuxi was full of disdain. “Miss Yang, you are prejudiced against Young master. In fact, he isn’t how you described him to be. Although he is wealthy and powerful, he is not the baller that you thought him to be. He is a real aristocrat.” He Min tried to clear up the misunderstanding. Seeing that Yang Yuxi did not believe her, she had a faint smile on her face. “You have a deep prejudice against Young master. You won’t believe any of my words. You will realize it gradually as you interact more with him.”

They ended their conversation and He Min showed Yang Yuxi the way out of the courtyard. She gave some instructions to the two men from the Ministry of State Security. They then invited her onto the car, leaving the place, driving steadily into the night.

Half an hour later, the two men from the Ministry of State Security sent Yang Yuxi back to the Ziwan district. Yang Yuxi declined their offer to leave her at her doorstep. She took the lift by herself and arrived outside her unit. She dug out her keys to open the door and realized that the lights in the living room were turned on and Ding Qian sat on the sofa in a daze.

“Yuxi, you are back.” Ding Qian hurried to stand up as soon as she heard some sounds, walking forward, sounding concerned. “Yuxi, are you alright?” Yang Yuxi felt warmth inside at her concerned tone, giving her a hug. “I am fine. Why aren’t you asleep?”

“I can’t sleep. Why did the people from the Ministry of State Security bring you away with them?” Ding Qian asked. “They have gotten the wrong person.” Yang Yuxi smiled, not telling the truth. She was not being untruthful. It was just that what happened was too bizarre.

The two of them had a brief conversation before Yang Yuxi urged Ding Qian to rest early, while she went to her bedroom, leaning against the door in silence.
