Baili Hongzhuang’s eyes, as dark as the abyss, were overflowing with radiant light. As expected, Xuan Yuanhuan did not recognize her!

Her appearance had changed considerably throughout the one month’s time.

She had always been treated harshly in the General Estate and after the annulment of the engagement, the neglect intensified. The food brought over by the servant got worse and worse each day and coupled with her depressed state, she became sallow and emaciated, appearing extremely ugly.

Baili Hongzhuang heard him and quickly recovered her senses. Even though he had fallen down from the third floor, it seems like he did not panic much. It appears that she had underestimated him.

Baili Hongzhuang’s slender and long fingers stretched out and a bright and cunning smile surfaced on her face. “Young master, my cushions have saved you, shouldn’t you pay me some sort of reward? A hundred gold coins would suffice!”

Having heard that, a similar trace of cunningness surfaced in Di Beichen’s eyes and yet, his handsome face appeared to be serious. “I’d have to trouble you to help me.”

Baili Hongzhuang was in doubt. What else did that guy need help for?

The next moment, under Baili Hongzhuang’s surprised gaze, she saw Di Beichen lying flat on the ground as he said, “You can try falling from the third floor and I shall be your cushion this time. That way, we would be even.”

Baili Hongzhuang’s lips twitched. Who would jump down from the third floor for no reason!?
