Chapter 7: Choosing Names For The Furballs

Looking at the determined expressions of those two furballs, Baili Hongzhuang furrowed her beautiful eyebrows together.

“Both of your appearances are so odd and you would definitely attract the attention of everyone if I brought you out. If someone were to be interested in you and take you away, I might not be able to protect you two.” Baili Hongzhuang’s fingers stroked her chin.

“We have a way!” said the black furball as he bounced around.

Shortly after, under Baili Hongzhuang’s surprised gaze, the two furballs shrunk rapidly and turned into two beads. They then jumped onto Baili Hongzhuang’s head, and acted like a low-key head accessory that would not be discovered.

Baili Hongzhuang’s mouth turned into an ‘O’ shape. She had no clue that those two midgets had such capabilities.

In that case, it was much more convenient!

“When you two follow me outside, you can’t cause any trouble, do you understand? Moreover, you can only converse with me through your minds and you’re not allowed to speak out loud.” Baili Hongzhuang warned them.

In the event that these two midgets quarrelled non-stop on her head and a passerby overheard them, she would be regarded as a monster by others!

The black and white furballs immediately nodded their heads obediently. They would accept any orders in order to go out and play!

Seeing that they had calmed down, Baili Hongzhuang revealed a content smile. With these two midgets by her side, her days had also become much more eventful.

The ten-mile long street was bustling with activity and it was crowded with people. Stalls filled both sides of the streets and they sold all kinds of different playthings. The sound of merchants peddling their wares resounded throughout the entire street.

As she walked down the bustling street, Baili Hongzhuang could not help but have the illusion that it was still a thousand years in the past.

However, the two furballs who were continuously screaming, clearly reminded her that she was no longer that Baili Hongzhuang of a thousand years ago.

“Should I give you names?”

“As for the white furball, you shall be called Blackie.” A satisfied grin curled up on Baili Hongzhuang’s lips. “The black furball shall be called Whitey!”

Their two pairs of eyes that were sparkling with expectation were instantly filled with disdain.

“I am white, so why am I called Blackie!” The white furball protested.

Baili Hongzhuang quirked up her eyebrow and said, “It’s to show fairness!”

“You see, perhaps the black furball hopes that it’s white in color, and perhaps in the depths of your heart, you also want to be a black color. So that’s why I’ve chosen these names for you. It’s simply perfect!”

An enchanting and beautiful smile blossomed on Baili Hongzhuang’s face. She was indeed a fair and just master!

“I don’t want it!” The black furball joined in on the protest. “I don’t want to be called Whitey!”

“Your protests are invalid!”

The smile lingered on Baili Hongzhuang’s face as she ignored the two midget’s protests. She honestly admired her intelligence to have come up with such great names!

Just as Baili Hongzhuang was wandering around, a din could be heard in front of her which attracted her attention.

“Quick, look! Lord Chen is getting bullied again!”

“Sigh, this Lord Chen is surely unlucky. He has such a handsome appearance, but unfortunately, his legs are disabled. Right now, he is getting bullied and has to endure the sarcastic remarks made by the other princes.”

“It is well known that Lord Chen has never been in the favor of the Emperor. He can only blame his bad fate for being the illegitimate child of the Emperor.”

Voices containing sympathy continuously spoke and it clearly entered the ears of Baili Hongzhuang.
