Chapter 28: Your First Trimester Is Over

Jay had broken his promise to give her the freedom of going outside. Now, he restricted her activity range to within the boundaries of the mansion. She wasn’t allowed to step foot outside of his premises anymore. Since he was stinking rich, the mansion’s land area was more than enough for her to
explore for weeks.

Even so, Maisy felt miserable and down, and the only thing she did was sit on the couch in the living room all day long. She couldn’t believe how Jay had even hired some watchmen to prevent her from sneaking out. It was ridiculous and ironic. There was no difference between her and a prisoner in jail,
was there?

She waited every single day for Jay to return home, only to show him attitude of her frustration towards his unfair decision, doing so by rolling her eyes at him and turning a deaf ear to most of his questions. She hoped she could deliver the message about how unhappy she was with his doing.
Nevertheless, it didn’t change anything, and Jay carried on as usual.

Days flew by almost too quickly, and it was already Maisy’s third month of her pregnancy. Only a barely protruding baby bump inconspicuously grew on her thin body, and one couldn’t have told if she was even pregnant.
That day, Maisy had slumped on the couch to relax, her hand holding onto a glass of warm milk she made for herself. She had flipped through the channels and stopped until she found one playing a foreign movie, and she watched it on the screen, snuggled in the couch.
Hours passed. When Maisy heard the door unlock and click, she didn’t even bother to move. Her eyes darted to the clock on the wall to find it was the time Jay usually got off work and returned home. She took another sip of her milk, and milk foam covered her upper lip.

After Jay had removed his suit and put his briefcase down, he yanked his tie loose. His eyes scanned the room before his gaze locked on the petite figure on the couch, and while he was half-conscious and half in a daze, it was like he had found his way back home. The sight of the girl in his home had
soothed him.

‘When he came forward without second thoughts and leaned in without her consent, it startled Maisy. She jumped, spilling the milk on her hand a little. When she placed the glass on the table, it was then she inadvertently jolted from his touch as if an electric shock had zapped through her, and she
gasped.

He was licking her fingers clean of the milk, the tip of his tongue toying with her fingers. She jerked her hand away speedily. “W-What are you doing?” she yelped.

He reeked of alcohol, and her high-pitch voice pulled him back to the present. He proceeded to lay his head on her shoulder, sticking to her like superglue. When he tilted his head, the tip of his nose grazed her neck. He propped out his tongue and ran it lightly up and down her neck, nibbling from time to
time.

The more she resisted his touch, the more he pressed his body against hers. He mumbled something inaudible, and she realized any efforts of breaking away from him was vain.
He continued his steady movement downward, and his biting on her creamy, white skin left a trail of red marks along her skin. Then, he slid his hand under her shirt and found his way to her soft, smooth flesh. When he cupped them, he was instantly awake and aroused, and his eyes bloodshot.

She tried to inch away from him, but there was nowhere to go. She was confined within his arms as he had clamped his hand firmly on her waist, preventing her escape. She sat there, watching him and his facial expressions the way a frightened prey watched a predator stalking it. She was the rabbit, and
he was the big, bad wolf. There was no chance of her repelling her strong enemy.

A soft moan came unbidden from her mouth, and her cheeks flooded bright red instantly, her eyes widening in embarrassment. She bit her lip. Jay was merely running his hand over her skin, and her pleasure came uncalled.
“Your moan,” he whispered into her ear, his voice soft and low. “I love it.”

His tingling warmth filled and tickled her ear. She felt uncomfortable and tried to readjust herself, but she accidentally brushed her lips against his.

It seemed to Jay that she was asserting her dominance. He didn’t entirely repel the girl in snuggled in his embrace, and he had never developed any interest in any of the women from the Aphrodite Club. But Maisy was an unplanned deviance he had never expected.
And, for Maisy, of course, so was her recruit into the club.

The crinkle at the corners of his eyes and the broad smile made his current mood obvious. He looked stunning when the corner of his lips twitched upwards into a smile, and Maisy stared blankly at him. She was dazed, charmed by his charisma.

“Your first trimester is over. You’re safe now,” Jay said, his fingers caressing her abdomen, drawing circles.

A confused look washed over her face, but he continued to rub the tip of his nose against her. And for a split second, she had the reality wrong, thinking that they were lovers..
