After some time, the car came to a halt. Mr. Zhu at the front seat spoke softly, “Ms. Zheng, we have reached.”

Zheng Rourou instinctively turned her head and noticed the vehicle had stopped at Liwan Residences. Zheng Rourou was somewhat unwilling to let the night pass so quickly. She turned her head inadvertently at Shi Che and spoke in a tender voice, perhaps even slightly seductive, “Mr. Shi, do you fancy a visit?”

Shi Che did not even turn her head. He responded in a moody tone as he paused after every word, “Remember what I told you?”

Zheng Rourou’s heart jumped. Her flirtatiousness immediately stopped and she dared not talk anymore. She quickly opened the car door and alighted.

As the car door closed, the vehicle quickly accelerated and moved off.

As she saw the car move further away, Zheng Rourou stood at her spot for quite a while. She then finally stomped her feet furiously and knitted her eyebrows indignantly.

She really could not understand Mr. Shi’s thoughts from his words. They had already been together for a few months. But he had never stayed overnight at her place, nor had he ever slept with her.

He was extremely generous towards her and showered her with fancy jewelry regularly. He even had someone get this skirt that she really wanted for her. In fact, the mansion worth millions which she was staying in now was also a gift from him.

Come on, for a man to be so generous to a woman, what other motives would he have apart from getting her in bed? Who would pour their money away otherwise? It’s not as if men were stupid.

The car traveled gently on the road.

Mr. Zhu looked up at Shi Che from the rear-view mirror. Shi Che seemed a bit tired and his eyebrows were tightly knitted. His fingers rubbed against his forehead from time to time.

Mr. Zhu paused to think and carefully probed him, “Young Master, aren’t you tired? Why don’t I send you home to rest?”

Shi Che’s eyes suddenly opened at Mr. Zhu’s question. His dark brown eyes carried a frightening expression and Mr. Zhu backed off subconsciously.

However, Shi Che did not reply. He neither agreed nor rejected the idea.

Mr. Zhu plucked out his courage and took another peek at him. His charming face was emotionless, indecipherable as usual.

For some reason, Mr. Zhu turned the steering wheel as if he had become possessed, as he drove in the direction back home.
