“Boss! There seems to be something big in our nets!”

Lu Shijin immediately took off his sunglasses and got off his lounge chair, going to the railings to point and direct, “Let’s bring it up and see!”

After taking the merperson to Shen Shao, Lu Shijin had been busy.

He acquired a ‘marine salvaging team’ that appeared to be fishing on the surface, but they were actually all hired mercenaries dressed in all bulletproof wear, all for finding the merpeople’s king.

Jun Li was gone, so the merpeople’s king would naturally search all over for him. Lu Shijin deliberately used Jin Li’s clothes to spread his scent in water, trying to see if he could get the merpeople’s king to come.

Nets were laid around the yacht, and those nets were all electrified. As long as a living creature approached, they would all be shocked unconscious.

For the last couple of days, they haven’t found the merpeople’s king, but they’ve gotten so much seafood that Lu Shijin was about to be sick of it.

The two people in charge of bringing the nets up hauled it up and other people readied their guns. Lu Shijin had told them beforehand that if they saw a male merperson, they should stab him to death instantly.

“So heavy, it seems like it’s actually a merperson?”

Lu Shijin became nervous when he heard this and urged, “Quick, bring it up. Everyone else, pay attention. When I give the signal, attack!”

The fishing net was slowly brought up. There was an unknown object entangled in the net. It seemed to be a person. To avoid harming the innocent, Lu Shijin didn’t immediately tell them to attack.

“It’s up! Boss, should we open the nets?”

“Yes.”

“Then, boss, you should back away a bit. I heard that male merpeople are really violent, it would be bad if you get hurt.”

“Let me see, let me see.” Lu Shijin walked over. The person’s entire body was tangled in the nets and only his head and feet could be seen. He was an adult male and looked better than movie stars, even though his eyes were still closed.

He had a tall nose, deep eyes, and slightly curly brown hair. He seemed like a foreigner.

“Where did this person come from? Why doesn’t he have any diving equipment?”

“Did he swim over?”

“Dumbass, it’s the deep ocean here, why don’t you try?”

“Then could he be a merperson?”

“You’re an actual dumbass, did you not listen in biology? Would he look like this if he was a merperson?”

Lu Shijin, who had actually never taken biology, asked curiously, “Would he not?”

“. . . There’s no way. Boss, look at how this man is built, he’s gotta be at least 30, right? With the merpeople’s age, he would have long gone through puberty. If he’s female, then he should be a beauty, and if he’s male, it’s even less likely. All the male merpeople I’ve seen in the media were each worse than the next. Lu Shijin looked at the man on the floor and was a bit disappointed that he wasn’t the merpeople’s king.

Lu Shijin put his sunglasses back on and prepared to go back to his chair when someone suddenly called out.

“Ah! He’s awake!”

The man who was still entangled with the net slowly sat up and opened his eyes. His pupils were as blue as the sea.

“Yo, bro, can you tell me how you swam over?”

The man blinked, seeming not to recognize what they were saying.

The man turned around and looked at the person who just spoke. That person subconsciously shivered, cursing. “Fuck, why’s his gaze so fierce? If it weren’t for me, you’d have become fish food, understand?”

“Who are you?” The man turned around and finally spoke after looking at everyone around him.

“So you can understand us. We’re here to fish, you got into our net and we saved you, understand?”

The man snorted. “Save me? The government had long banned the use of electric nets. If you guys weren’t using illegal nets, how could I have fainted.”

“Why are you so ungrateful? Do you think we won’t toss you back in the sea?”

“That’s enough, stop bothering him and do your tasks.” Lu Shijin peered down his sunglasses at the unknown man. “It’s our fault with the nets, I can pay you. However, you’re now on our boat. If you don’t want to stay, then do what you want. If you want to stay, then you should keep your mouth shut, can you do that?”

The man fell silent and coldly looked at Lu Shijin. Lu Shijin didn’t shy away and met his gaze head on. “You can’t? Then you can jump back in the sea right now. I won’t stop you.”

The man turned and coldly said, “Do you have clothes? I want to change clothes.”

Lu Shijin snorted and indicated for the crew to take him inside to change.

The man was still covered by the nets, and could only move his legs and neck, but he still resisted all help and walked slowly to the cabin.

There was a chef that Lu Shijin invited specially to cook seafood. Lu Shijin was bored while waiting for the merperople’s king to appear, so he took some grilled squid to munch on while reading “Merpeople Encyclopedia” to learn about them.

After all, only knowing yourself and the enemy could one always win.

“The number of merpeople have been decreasing. Ever since male merpeople found that female humans can give birth to their offspring, there have been many incidents of male merpeople harassing human women in coastal areas. When the male merpeople are in heat, they would go ashore rape women. Once a woman is pregnant from the male merperson, she cannot perform an abortion operation to stop her pregnancy, so women must be careful by the seaside . . .”

After reading this section, Lu Shijin couldn’t help but sigh. “Holy shit, these male merpeople are so perverted. Thankfully, I’m a man, not a woman, or else I could be a birthing factory for those ugly things.”

“That might not be the case.”

A cool voice sounded next to his ear. Lu Shijin put down the book to see who just spoke. It turned out to be the unknown man.

After changing clothes, the man looked even better.

With long legs and the perfect proportions, he seemed like a world-class model despite only wearing a white shirt and black pants.

If Lu Shijin didn’t see a picture of a male merperson from the book, he would’ve definitely thought that he was a male merperson.

The man also had eyes the same colour as Payne, which made Lu Shijin feel nostalgic.

“What do you mean?” Lu Shijin asked.

The man lifted his chin and looked out at the sea as he said slowly.

“Merpeople’s intelligence has always exceeded human imagination. Not long ago, merpeople have discovered how to make it possible for male humans to be able to nourish a fetus. So male humans can also be pregnant from male merpeople too.”
