“Shit, that’s so wrong!” Lu Shijin felt goosebumps appear when he heard this. He suddenly thought of something and looked at the man with suspicion. “Wait, you said they know how to make someone pregnant? How do you know that?”

“I have my methods.” The man looked at all the people patrolling on board with weapons and asked, “Do you need so many weapons just to catch fish?”

“Oh that.” Lu Shijin said calmly, “I heard that sea monsters are around here, so I brought some extra people just in case. I have an actual finish license, and want to make money. See, these are some seafood the chef just finished making, do you want some?”

Lu Shijin gave the man two skewers of shrimp and fish. The man felt that the scent wasn’t bad, so he tried a bite.

“Is it good? I specially invited a famous chef from a five Michelin star restaurant to cook for me. If you like it, then I’ll give you some other seafood, I have a lot . . .”

Lu Shijin eagerly introduced all kinds of seafood that he got, and when he looked up, he found that the skewers were completely empty.

“Are they that good?” Lu Shijin asked in a stupor.

The man had a satisfied expression, “It’s alright.”

Lu Shijin couldn’t help but ask, “Do you eat the shrimp shell when you eat shrimp?”

The man looked at him strangely. “Why wouldn’t I?”

Lu Shijin thought that it wouldn’t be polite to judge the man’s habits, so he laughed dryly and nodded sagely. “Yes, yes, shells have a lot of calcium, it’s good for you.”

Lu Shijin saw the man lick his lips, so he immediately gave him a bunch more skewers.

The man didn’t refuse and took all of them. Although the way he ate wasn’t the most elegant, it was fast and he soon finished all of the food.

Lu Shijin joked, “Have you fasted for several days?”

“No.” The man’s expression returned to an aloof one after he finished eating.”Perhaps it’s just been too long since I’ve eaten food made with fire and smoke.”

Lu Shijin couldn’t help but laugh, “Are you some cultivator who can’t eat such mortal food?”

The man glanced at him and seemed to find Lu Shijin’s question very funny and didn’t respond.

The man pointed at the people on the boat and asked, “Are they the only people on board?”

“Yeah.” Lu Shijin said, “Why?”

The man said calmly, “Nothing, just asking.”

Lu Shijin was curious about the man’s past and couldn’t help but ask, “Right, what should I call you?”

“Yu Jun.”

“Why did you come to the deep sea alone?”

“I came out with a research boat, and accidentally got caught in your nets while diving.”

Lu Shijin was suspicious. “Did you hump in without wearing anything?”

Yu Jun looked down contemptuously, “Personal preference, what’s wrong with that?”

Lu Shijin: . . .

He was starting to regret untangling him from the nets. He should’ve left him to the fish!

“Right, you said you came out with a research boat, what are you researching?” Lu Shijin decided to change the topic.

Yu Jun sat down beside Lu Shijin and crossed his legs, seeming more at ease than the host, Lu Shijin.

“Merpeople.” He said quietly.

Merpeople! Seems like he’s a professional!

Lu Shijin immediately got more interested and asked eagerly, “Then do you know how to find the merpeople’s king?”

“Merpeople’s king?” Yu Jun asked with an indescribable expression. “Why do you want to find him?”

Lu Shijin said seriously, “No reason, I just heard that he’s the most powerful, so I want to see for myself.”

Yu Jun suddenly pointed at Lu Shijin’s people and sneered. “It couldn’t be that you people actually want to catch him?”

“Nope, not at all, don’t say such nonsense!” Lu Shijin hurriedly denied and said self-righteously, “Humans and merpeople have good relations, why would I capture the king? And he’s the merpeople king, could he be caught by people like us? You’re overestimating us!”

Yu Jun’s lips hooked up. “At least you’re self aware.”

Lu Shijin believed that Yu Jun was researching merpeople.

If he could get the advice of such an expert, it would be a lot better than sailing around randomly, as they have been doing so far.

So Lu Shijin decided to try to get closer with Yu Jun and ask him to help him find the merpeople’s king.

Lu Shijin leaned towards Yu Jun and smiled, “Mr. Yu, are you specialized in merpeople?”

“Why?” Yu Jun didn’t answer right away.

Lu Shijin blinked, “Have you ever seen the merpeople’s king?”

Yu Jun looked into Lu Shijin’s eyes and smiled, “You asked the right person, I really have seen him before.”

Lu Shijin widened his eyes, asking in shock, “Really?!”

Yu Jun proudly lifted his chin and said, “Yes.”

“What did he look like?” Lu Shijin took a swig out of the glass of beer beside him to temper down his excitement at finally finding a bit of hope.

Yu Jun asked, “What do you think he should look like?”

Lu Shijin thought for a while and flipped through the encyclopedia he was reading. “According to the book, male merpeople look very ferocious and ugly, which is how they are able to dominate the ocean. According to an inference, the stronger they are, the uglier they look, so I think the merpeople’s king would look the worst! Don’t you agree?”

“Right, you’re very right.” Yu Jun’s lips hooked up, “But if he’s really that scary, why do you still want to see him? I heard that he’s so fierce that he eats humans, aren’t you scared he’ll eat you?”

Lu Shijin swallowed and angrily hit the railing. “Fuck, I knew it, he definitely eats humans! Or else how could he kill people without blinking an eye?!”

“Kill people without blinking an eye?” Yu Jun was confused, “Who’d he kill?”

Lu Shijin waved his hand, “Nothing, nothing, but Xiao Yu, have you really seen the merpeople’s king?”

Yu Jun replied calmly, “Why would I lie to you?”

Lu Shijin didn’t completely believe Yu Jun, and asked seriously, “Where did you see him?”

“I once saw him patrolling with his army.”

“Did he hurt you?” Lu Shijin asked.

Yu Jun looked at Lu Shijin like he was an idiot. “Of course not, merpeople and humans coexist peacefully, the merpeople’s king wouldn’t kill innocents, even if he was fierce.”

Lu Shijin secretly rolled his eyes, won’t kill innocents? Heh.

That’s because you don’t know that I’ll have my stomach pierced by the merpeople’s king.

“Then do you know what he likes? Like his favorite food? Where he goes?”

“The merpeople’s king lives in the sea, so he obviously only eats things that live in the sea, but he doesn’t have anything he really likes . . .” At this point, Yu Jun paused because he smelt the scent of garlic oysters, and looked over.

Lu Shijin noticed and understood, bringing the oysters over.
