After about fifteen minutes, Shen Shao groggily woke up and found that there was a shirt on top of him and Jun Yu was tidying up his needles.

“What happened?” Shen Shao shook his head, a bit confused.

Jun Yu said warmly, “Haven’t you been feeling tired lately? I put some calming medicine in the water, but I didn’t expect you to just fall asleep.”

Shen Shao slowly got up from the bed, moving around his upper body. He didn’t feel any pain.

“When do we start acupuncture?”

“It’s already done.” Jun Yu put his hands back into his pockets and asked caringly, “What’s with the hurry?”

“It’s over?” Shen Shao was shocked. How could it be over if he didn’t feel anything?

Jun Yu smiled and explained, “I use very thin needles. You only feel a bit of pain when I put it in. After I pull it out, you won’t feel anything.”

“Really? Then master Yu must be truly skilled.” Shen Shao slowly put back on his clothes and smiled fakely. He clearly didn’t believe in Jun Yu.

After Shen Shao left, Lu Shijin returned to the room.

“How was it? Did he believe it?” Lu Shijin asked.

Jun Yu took off the white coat, putting his own clothes on. “How dumb do you think he’d be to believe in a scam with so many loopholes?”

Lu Shijin wagged his finger. “Let me tell you, sometimes, the simplest scams are the best ones. We don’t have to know acupuncture or Chinese medicine. We just need your blood to work for the scam to succeed.”

“Hopefully, it works.” Jun Yu shrugged with no expectations and prepared to leave.

Lu Shijin followed him, asking, “Where are you going?”

Jun Yu replied coldly, “None of your business.”

Lu Shijin suddenly remembered that it was mating season, so Jun Yu was probably looking for a female merperson.

Lu Shijin felt pity for Jun Yu, having to go to the ocean for a partner, while coming on land to find his sibling. It was hard being a merpeople’s king.

Leaving the room, Lu Shijin directly returned home. Thinking that Shen Shao should’ve also got home, he called him.

“How is it, have you seen the person I sent you?” Lu Shijin deliberately asked.

Shen Shao’s expression was a bit bad. “No, he’s just some scammer, who would believe in that.”

Lu Shijin secretly celebrated, it seemed like Shen Shao thought that he was fooled and was unhappy.

“What’s wrong?” Lu Shijin went closer and called Jun Yu’s name without getting any response.

“Hey! What happened! Fuck, don’t scare me!”

Jun Yu was floating in the middle of the pool, so Lu Shijin couldn’t see his situation clearly. He was so worried that he directly jumped into the pool without taking off his clothes and swam over to Jun Yu.

“Shit, merpeople can’t drown, right? Xiao Yu, wake up!” Lu Shijin patted Jun Yu’s face, noticing that his face was abnormally hot and very red. When he checked lower, he saw that that scale was upright again!
