Actual Fairytale – Picking up a Mermaid! (20)
Jun Li left Shen Shao’s house. Other than Shen Shao, he didn’t know anyone else. He didn’t know where he should go, and didn’t have anywhere to go.
He wandered around on the streets, replaying Shen Shao’s words.
“I hate merpeople the most. Your tail, your scales, I want to throw up every time I see them…”
“If it weren’t for your blood, I wouldn’t even have looked at you!”
Shen Shao was so gentle to him, making him feel warmth he had never felt before in the cold ocean.
He felt like he was in a dream for the past couple weeks by Shen Shao’s side, full of sweetness and happiness.
It’s not that he’s never thought about Shen Shao staying with him out of ulterior motives.
But Jun Li told himself that it would be worth it if Shen Shao had the smallest bit of love for him.
But Shen Shao mercilessly broke Jun Li’s dream today, directly saying that he didn’t hold any love for him.
Not only that, Shen Shao also hated him and thought that he was disgusting.
It had started raining at some point and there were no people out in the dark streets.
Jun Li wandered around aimlessly like a ghost.
He eventually got to a small alley at the back of a bar in the redlight district, where many drunkards would be in the middle of the night.
Jun Li wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings, so he didn’t notice someone walking out and crashed into him.
“Shit, do you have eyes? Wanna die?” That person seemed like a rogue, smelling of alcohol. It was clear from his gaze how drunk he was. He saw how delicate Jun Li was and felt certain urges rise, “Well, little brother, you don’t look so bad, did you come here by yourself? Do you want big brother to play with you?”
Then, he stretched out an oily hand, wanting to touch Jun Li’s face.
“Fuck off.” Jun Li pushed away the person’s hand and said coldly.
“Heh, you have some temper. Well, big brother likes a bit of temper! How about it? Accompany me for a couple of glasses? I have a lot of fun things to do with you hehe.” The man rubbed his hands together, his smile lecherous as he sized up Jun Li. He stared at Jun Li’s face, which was prettier than a woman’s and started scheming.
He was really lucky, meeting such a beauty!
Jun Li was feeling really annoyed and brushed past him, “Don’t have the time, leave.”
The man saw that Jun Li was young and alone, so he already thought of Jun Li as acquired and naturally didn’t back off.
“You’re not allowed to leave. You ran into me, but want to leave without compensating me? It’s not that easy!” The man continued blocking Jun Li, staring at his lecherously, “Little brother, big brother doesn’t want to use force on someone so young, so you better be obedient, and quietly follow me, or else…”
Although Jun Li had a good temper, that was because he never had anything to get angry about. In the ocean, everyone would be nice to him because of Jun Yu.
Right now, he was very angry and wanted an outlet. Since someone came to the door by himself, then it was just unlucky for that person to be right in front of the merperson right now.
“Or else what?” Jun Li asked in a darkly.
“Or else.” The hooligan touched his nose, then tried to pinch Jun Li’s face, “You might have to endure some pain— Fuck! Ahhh!”
Jun Li grabbed the hooligan’s wrist and used only a bit of force to break the bone. The pain twisted his expression and the hooligan began squealing like a pig.
Although Jun Li seemed soft on the surface, not even through puberty, merpeople lived in the ocean, and used a lot more muscle in daily life. Their strength far exceeded that of an adult male human.
He wasn’t even scared of a tiger shark, much less some random person from the streets.
“Why don’t you tell me what pain I’ll be experiencing?” Jun Li was at his limit, but he still had no expressions on his face, his tone completely emotionless.
“Nononono!” The hooligan didn’t expect Jun Li to be so strong and regret his actions, having angered someone he shouldn’t have, “I don’t have anything against you, I don’t need you to pay anything, let go of me!”
Jun Li’s eyes showed hatred and suddenly asked in a loud voice, “Are you humans all like this? Fearing the strong and bullying the weak? Do you think you can bully me?!”
Cold sweat was pouring down the hooligan’s back, and he felt a lot less drunk, shaking his head as he begged, “Of course not! My dear brother, please let go of me, wait no, you’re my goddamn grandpa! Please let go! My hand’s about to break!”
Jun Li sneered. Long claws suddenly extended from his fingers and his amber gaze became a lot darker and colder.
At the same time, blue scales slowly covered his face. He seemed like the king of hell in the dark.
“G-ghost!” Seeing how creepy Jun Li was, the drunkard was completely scared awake, shaking and screaming. He completely forgot about the fact that his wrist was still captured by Jun Li, trying to escape.
If he had a knife in his hands, he would’ve probably tried to cut his hand off!
Jun Li let go on the man’s wrist, but took his collar instead, his expression as cold as ever as he punched the man in the face.
“Shameless! Scum! Bastard! Filth! Who told you to be like this, so dirty minded! You’re worse than a pig, a dog! You don’t deserve to be a human, just go die!”
Jun Li threw a punch every time he said something, using his sharp nails to maul the man’s face. The hooligan was beaten so much that he couldn’t do anything, seeming to be in very dire straits.
But Jun Li still wasn’t satisfied. After throwing over ten punches, he directly grabbed his neck. Seeing the tragic circumstances of the hooligan, he finally felt a bit less angry.
“Enough, if you continue, you’ll kill him.”
Just as Jun Li was about to hit the hooligan’s nose again, his arm was suddenly stopped by someone else.
Jun Li turned to see Jun Yu, being momentarily stunned. The hand he had around the man’s neck subconsciously loosened.
