“Big brother . . .” All of the complicated feelings he experienced tonight rushed to the top upon seeing his family and Jun Li returned to normal, pouncing onto Jun Yu, crying, “Big brother . . . I’m sorry . . . I was wrong, I shouldn’t have lied to you and come on land.”

“As long as you know.” Jun Yu patted Jun Li. He didn’t ask why Jun Li was acting like this and just said in a gentle voice, “Come back with me.”

Jun Li nodded eagerly and hugged Jun Yu, silently crying in his embrace. He was saying goodbye to his failed romance.

“Wait wait wait, are you leaving just like this? What about this person who was beaten half to death?” Lu Shijin interrupted the brotherly reunion awkwardly.

Jun Yu looked at the hooligan like he was a piece of trash, “It’s already our greatest mercy to not kill him.”

Lu Shijin: . . . Merpeople are actually so fucking violent, they really can’t be provoked!

“Mr. Lu?” Jun Li recognized Lu Shijin’s voice and lifted his head from Jun Yu’s embrace, wiping his eyes as he looked between Jun Yu and Lu Shijin in confusion, “Why are you with my brother?”

“Uh . . . He came to find you, and found his way to me. Since he’s your older brother, I obviously had to take care of him! I brought him over to play, and who would’ve thought that we’d run into you? Haha, don’t you think it’s such a nice coincidence!” Lu Shijin lied confidently, and even pretended to ask caringly, “Right, why are you here all alone? Isn’t Shen Shao with you?”

Hearing Shen Shao’s name, the little merperson felt his heart ache and didn’t feel like prodding about Jun Yu and Lu Shijin’s relationship anymore. He shook his head sadly, “We broke up, please don’t bring him up in front of me anymore.”

Lu Shijin pretended to be shocked and said after a short pause, “It’s already very late, why don’t you guys stay over at my place for a night? We can talk about everything else tomorrow?”

Jun Yu hummed in agreement, making the decision for Jun Li. Jun Li was too emotionally unstable to disagree, so the three returned to Lu Shijin’s mansion together.

Back home, Lu Shijin felt that the two brothers probably wanted some privacy to talk, so he left the entire first floor for them, going upstairs himself.

He didn’t have anything to do, so Lu Shijin first went into the bathroom to shower, humming and smiling.

“Host, you seem very happy.”

“Of course.” Lu Shijin whistled more and patted his abdomen, saying excitedly, “Jun Li’s going to go back to the sea with his older brother soon, which means this thing inside of me will be taken out, how could I not be happy?”

711 chuckled, “But once Jun Li returns, what will happen between him and Shen Shao? The script won’t progress, haven’t you thought about it? I have to remind you that the plot progression and audience satisfaction haven’t even reached a third. With what happened tonight, a lot of them are talking about dropping the show. I hope you can actually complete the story.”

“What’s the rush?” Lu Shijin waved his hand unconcernedly, “It’s not like this is the ending. I naturally have a way to make Jun Li come back after he returns to the ocean. Right now, I just need to get rid of the egg. Afterwards, the plot will naturally round itself out, do you not trust me?”

“I do, of course I do. I don’t want to splash cold water on you, but through my observations over the past couple of days, Jun Yu might not be willing to take the egg out.”

Lu Shijin was stunned. “Why?”

711 snickered, “Isn’t it obvious, he likes you. Maybe he’ll bring you back to be his queen.”

“. . . Don’t scare me like that.”

“Pft, bystanders always see the clearest. If you don’t believe me, then I can’t do anything about it”

Lu Shijin was a bit shocked by 711’s words. Thinking about Jun Yu’s behavior over the past few days, it did seem like 711 was telling the truth.

As for why, it was probably because the fish was only a fish on the outside, and a human inside!

He would rather endure his mating instincts than go find a female merperson to be with, which meant that he still rejected being with another merperson.

And Jun Yu didn’t even seem like he liked women, so the only being who could help him was a human male.

Lu Shijin felt a chill down his spine and couldn’t help but shiver, hugging himself. He was screwed, entering the eyes of a gay fish.

Lu Shijin finished showerng and left his room, standing at the top of the staircase to see what was happening downstairs. He didn’t hear anything, so he thought that the brothers finished talking and were resting.

After being reminded by 711, Lu Shijin really wanted to know what Jun Yu was thinking.

If it really was like how 711 thought, that Jun Yu wasn’t going to take the egg from him, then he needed to make a plan.

So Lu Shijin decided to find Jun Yu for a talk.

He didn’t see anyone downstairs, but did hear some sounds from the pool.

Lu Shijin thought that Jun Yu was in there, so he went over. Then, he saw that it was actually Jun Li who was there.

Jun Li was in his merperson form, sitting on the ledge of the pool with his tail in the water.

His tail was different from Jun Yu’s, as it was blue like the sky and the sea. It was still a beautiful tail.

But Jun Li’s actions were bone chilling. Lu Shijin walked over to see that Jun Li was actually peeling off his scales one by one!

There were already many scales covered in silver blood on the floor, a shocking sight.

And Jun Li was still trying to pull off more. Lu Shijin hurriedly stopped him, “What are you doing?! Are you crazy?”

Jun Li’s forehead was covered in sweat and his lips had been heavily bitten, but he still stubbornly said, “None of your business.”

Merpeople were many times more sensitive than humans. Jun Yu would feel extreme pain at a small needle prick, much less pulling scales from his tail!

Lu Shijin looked at the mess of flesh Jun Li’s tail had become and felt pain. He couldn’t believe Jun Li would do that to himself.
