Lu Shijin looked at Shen Shao with pity, but continued conversing like nothing was wrong, “Then why don’t you go find him?”

After not seeing him for so long, Jun Yu was still unpleasant like before. If he could beat him, Lu Shijin would’ve long beaten him to a pulp.

“Enough, enough.” Lu Shijin laughed dryly, welcoming the two in. “Come in.”

Jun Li thanked politely, “Sorry for the intrusion, Mr. Lu.”

“No bother, you’re still the most polite, Xiao Li.” Lu Shijin praised Jun Li and thought that it was a good thing Jun Li’s temper was pretty much the same as before.

“Oh, I have a present for you.” Jun Li took out a box to give to Lu Shijin. Lu Shijin opened it with curiosity, “What’s this?”

But when he saw the pearl in the box, Lu Shijin almost dropped the box.

“A pearl again?!” Lu Shijin wanted to cry.

“What’s wrong, do you not like pearls?” Jun Li didn’t know what his brother had done, so he asked curiously, “I thought pearls were pretty expensive on land.”

Jun Yu said coldly, “That’s right, don’t you humans love this kind of sparkly thing? You not accepting is quite rude.”

Lu Shijin took the pearl out to observe it, asking Jun Li with suspicion, “Is this a real pearl?”

“Of course, what else could it be?” Jun Li smiled, “I chose this with my brother. A pearl this size is rare even at the bottom of the sea, it’s our thanks to you for helping us so much.”

It was fine as long as it was an actual pearl. Lu Shijin sighed in relief and met Jun Yu’s gaze. Jun Yu’s gaze was like that of a fox. Lu Shijin realized that this fish was deliberately playing with him.

Lu Shijin put the annoying pearl away, then accompanied the brothers in the living room.

“Have you come to look for Shen Shao?” Lu Shijin asked.

“I need to take something I forgot here back.” Jun Yu said.

Lu Shijin brightened up at this, being so thankful that tears were almost falling down.

Lu Shijin looked at Jun Yu like he was his savior.

“Good, good, good, as you should.”

Jun Yu asked with a strange smile, “Are you looking forward to it?”

Lu Shijin nodded strongly, “Of course.”

He was just waiting for the day to come!
