Chapter 49 The Essence of Investment (1)

He recalled that in 1980, a particular musical instrument became the highest bid item at the auction sale. It even made the headlines throughout the capital of Albion.

If I remembered it correctly, it was the ‘Lira of Terskore’.  In the latest manuscript, I believe Vasco Greyer won a bid for a seemingly unimportant antique item and repaired it later. Afterward, he resold it at an enormous 5 million dinars price. But right now, Vasco is somewhere unknown on the Centrum Continent. So, if that instrument was placed on this auction, and no one could recognize it, I must take it as my own.

In his original world, Jeongjin didn’t even manage to save seed money, so there was no need to mention investment there. But now it was different. In this world, although he had no money of his own, he still had information he could use to multiply his fortune.

Besides, as far as he could see, there was no difference between the way people live in the novel and the real world. So, if a person acted passively, they would only end up being controlled and swayed by others.

Suddenly, Clayo got a hunch that this story, written on the ragged and irreplaceable manuscript papers, was not something that the author could modify easily. After all, if the author had unlimited authority, he would remove Arthur’s scar already.

When he thought up to that point, doubt began to sprout one after another. However, he knew he could not understand anything or act according to his will when other people’s demands tied his hands and feet.

Financial resources, aka money, is power. It gives freedom to every character’s movement. Even if there is a war, as long as you have some properties, you’ll still have a way to live.

But I can’t trust my father, who tries to push his old-fashioned view on his child and forces said child into politics and takes away their allowance if they make a mistake. Damn, the story setting was already messy enough, yet I still have to find my own way to live that is not tied to him.

If he could not avoid getting caught up in the narrative, then he should try his best to counter it as much as possible.

If you know a disaster is coming your way, you must try your best to defend yourself. And if escaping was impossible, then the next best is to deflect or counter it.

After he set his goal, it was as if the dust that accumulated in his mind was swept off, and he began to make many plans.
