Chapter 50: Angry Call

Feng Sujin’s lips curved up bitterly. She closed her eyes and forced herself to think rationally. Jun Mohan was right, she should pick up the call and listen to what Lan Beichen has to say and why he’s calling her!

“Hello?”

Lan Beichen heard Feng Sujin’s voice and, for some reason, the lump in his heart disappeared immediately.

Feng Sujin frowned at the silence, “Lan Beichen, I’m going to go rest if you don’t have anything to say.”

She was about to hang up when Lan Beichen spoke indifferently, “Sujin!”

When Lan Beichen called her name, his special voice sounded charming and Feng Sujin’s heart skipped a beat. Before, Lan Beichen would seldom call her like this — it was only when he occasionally treated her nicely and gently, so the word “Sujin” still made her remember the past.

Feng Sujin’s lips curved up spitefully and she spoke coldly, “Master Lan, you should be accompanying your Liu Shiya at the hospital, how do you have time to call me?”

Lan Beichen heard Feng Sujin’s scorn but replied nicely, “Sujin, I know that you blame me and have misunderstood me, but I can’t control my emotions and I can only say sorry.”

“I’ve received your apology, I need to rest.”

“Sujin, finish listening to me first, it won’t take long.”

Feng Sujin could only force herself to listen.

“Sujin, no matter what, I hope you can be respectful to yourself and love yourself, don’t do anything that will harm yourself. Don’t stray off the correct path and treat yourself well.”

Feng Sujin heard Lan Beichen’s random comments and found it weird, “Lan Beichen, did you take the wrong medicine? Do you have a fever?”

Lan Beichen felt as if a bucket of water had poured on the flames of his good intention.

He had the impulse to hang up but he thought that it was partially his responsibility that Feng Sujin became like this and continued, “I saw you kissing a man in a car in front of the hospital.”

Feng Sujin heard his words and her expression became cold.

“Sujin, no matter what the man’s identity or status is, you need to understand that he’s only playing…”

Feng Sujin couldn’t stand to hear it, “Lan Beichen, am I, Feng Sujin, this cheap in your eyes? Do you think that nobody is willing to marry me?”

Lan Beichen replied guiltily, “Sujin, I’m sorry. I’m the one who ruined your reputation. Although there won’t be any rich families who will be willing to take you in Beiquan City, I will try my best to find you a good family.”

Feng Sujin thought that this conversation was becoming more and more ridiculous, “Lan Beichen, I really thank you for that but save your good intentions for Liu Shiya, I don’t need it.” Feng Sujin suppressed her fury and continued coldly, “And I’m telling you I’m married. A flash marriage, but my husband is a hundred times better than you!”

After this, Feng Sujin quickly hung up and her chest heaved up and down from anger. It wasn’t enough to vent her anger and so she blocked Lan Beichen’s number, deleting all the messages from him before feeling slightly better.

Jun Mohan held a glass of milk and stood by the door, watching and overhearing what Feng Sujin had said. He didn’t want Feng Sujin to feel awkward and waited for a while, but Feng Sujin seemed to sense his existence and saw him standing by the door after throwing down her phone.

She felt awkward and didn’t know where to put her hands and legs. Embarrassed, she asked him, “Uh, did you see and hear everything?”
