Shen Yanxiao originally wanted to send the Pharmacists away before the war started. Ye Qing had
to cooperate with Yun Qi and could not go, but she wanted Yin Jiuchen and the Pharmacist Association to leave rst. Shen Yanxiao was not certain they would win this war. If possible, she wanted these unarmed and defenseless companions to survive.
“Lord, I won’t go, we won’t go! This is a war, and people are bound to be injured; the wounded need
someone to take care of them. So, we will stay.” In the face of Shen Yanxiao’s arrangements, Yin
Jiuchen rebelled against her orders for the rst time. Asking them to live just for the sake of remaining alive while their friends and loved ones were in a bloody battle — they could not do it.
The Pharmacist Association’s people were not the only ones unwilling to leave. The members of Su He’s mineral collection team also didn’t want to leave the city. They did not have much power on
their own, but they insisted on staying here. Even if they were only responsible for logistics, they would endure hardship gladly.

stand behind the alliance army and secure their backs. When Yin Jiuchen kowtowed in front of Shen Yanxiao until her forehead was bleeding in order to
stay in the city, Shen Yanxiao knew that even if she forced them to leave using her position as the
lord, they would still not leave.

on her face, a smile bloomed from the bottom of her heart. With such a group of companions, what was there to fear?
The bugle of the devil army’s attack sounded before dawn. Under the dim sky, the devil army
launched its rst strike on The Rising Sun City. Countless devil soldiers surrounded The Rising Sun City. Huge demon beasts covered with iron
armor stomped the earth, causing it to tremble constantly. The heavily armed demon beasts
carried huge siege weapons while moving step by step towards the wall of The Rising Sun City. On this wall, Shen Yanxiao suddenly appeared. She stood facing the wind, with silver armor shining brightly in the light of dawn.
Shen Yanxiao was high above, looking down at the numerous devil soldiers outside The Rising Sun City. The shrill sound of bugles pierced her ears, and she saw from a distance that Satan, dressed in
black armor, was smiling at her from the back of an extremely large demon beast in the middle of
the army.
The next second, Shen Yanxiao felt a familiar aura appear beside her. She turned her head to look at Xiu, clad in golden armor, and the corners of her lips revealed a faint smile.
“It is nally the decisive battle.” Shen Yanxiao said.
“In life or death, we’ll go hand in hand.” Xiu looked at Shen Yanxiao and held her hand tightly.
Shen Yanxiao’s smile went deep into her eyes. She felt that she had no regrets in her life. With her relatives, friends, and lover, she was satised.
Turning her head to the front, Shen Yanxiao looked at the devil army again and suddenly raised her hand.
“Activate the defensive magical array!”
