Chapter 902: Chapter 53: Divine Assistance from My Sister-in-Law

Several hours later, Scouty listlessly withdrew her right hand, her face etched with defeat.

She hadn’t expected that even her Power of Future couldn’t truly erase this divine seal.

“Who made the pact with you? I’m going to slaughter him!”

Scouty cracked her knuckles, grinding her teeth as she spoke.

Belldandy revealed a rare authority, issuing a stern warning to Scouty.

As the glue among the three sisters, she knew both Big Sis Urd and Little Sis Scouty inside out.

One was mature and steady, the other was wild and rebellious; one represented the past that had become fact, the other held the uncertain Future, a pair of intrinsically opposed natures.

In the past, the two couldn’t meet without trading barbs, and if it weren’t for her mediating and buffering between them, they probably would use their powers to “show each other love” every time.

If she mentioned the gamble that Big Sis Urd had made with that man, whether Scouty would trouble the man was another matter, but she would probably have to wrestle with Big Sis Urd first.

Moreover, to be fair, that man was also a victim.

Belldandy’s response cleverly separated the two tasks to prevent Scouty from suspecting the people around her.

And indeed, Scouty fell for it, her eyes flashing with fury.

Could it be a Dwarf who made the pact with her second sister? Serves those little Dwarves right to be tormented by the dragon horde!

“So, you’re Belle, right? Have you joined Midgard’s team now?”

“Your team seems to have a diverse range of members. You have Dark Elves, Light Elves, Human Wizards and Demon Hunters, and you, the hidden Fate Goddess. It’s impressive that members from so many different races and stances can fit into one team and get along harmoniously; looks like your leader has some skills.”

“Yes, his name is Luo En, and I guess he might be from the Immortal Palace. He’s polite and thoughtful towards allies and quite resourceful against enemies, which makes him very pleasant to work with.”

As Belldandy spoke, she couldn’t help but remember that she still had seven unsettled favors with Luo En, and this added to her frustration as she clenched her teeth and added,

“But he’s a bit too clever and likes to play tricks. Be careful when you run into him in the Future, don’t get duped by him!”

“You seem to know a lot about him.”

Scouty nudged her sister teasingly with her elbow as she spoke, then swiftly shifted the conversation,

“So, you followed him here?”

Belldandy sensed the teasing in Scouty’s words and immediately realized her little sister had been interrogating her deliberately. Annoyed, she glared at her mischievous sister,

“Don’t ask about things you shouldn’t. Focus on taking care of your own business!”

She indeed followed Luo En here, but for a serious reason.

While watching Luo En play cards with Old Gandalf, she heard that Luo En was going to the Dwarf Library to conduct some investigations. Thus, she covertly followed him, hoping to find an opportunity to intervene with the Power of Fate and disrupt his investigation, lest he really discovered something that would lead to the fulfillment of the master-servant contract.

Unexpectedly, she bumped into Scouty, her third sister, who had also snuck out to look for her cat.

To avoid revealing her identity, she had no choice but to take her sister into this abandoned courtyard for a private display of sisterly affection.
