Scouty shook her head, speaking with some puzzlement:

“To hunt, she said so herself.”

Meanwhile, inside a low and dimly lit dwelling of the dwarves.

“I have already dealt with those Dragonkin that attacked your village.”

Scadi tossed a gray cloth bag onto the table; the dwarven mother and child inside the house tremulously opened it, and upon seeing the gold coins and ornaments stained with traces of blood within, they burst into loud sobs.

Yet those tears were filled with the pleasure and joy of revenge.

Whether the Dragonkin were natural Magical Creatures or transformed from dwarves, from the moment they lost their reason, they would become accomplices in instigating the Dragon Disaster.

Under the relentless plundering and assaults by the dragons, countless villages and towns in the Northern Realm were turned to ashes by Dragon Flame, countless dwarves died unnatural deaths, and just as many dwarves were displaced.

But most dwarves, despite their brute strength, were no match for those Dragonkin, and were further trapped by the mysterious Dragon Disease, doomed never to seek vengeance on those beasts themselves.

Fortunately, they still had a Hunting God…

“Thank you, Lord Scadi.”

The dwarven mother wiped her tears, leading her child to kneel before Scadi as a gesture of their excitement and gratitude.

Scadi nodded faintly, then left the dwelling, heading off to the next household of dwarf survivors of the Dragon Disaster.

After walking out from one dwarven home amidst thousands of thanks, Luo En finally couldn’t help asking:

“Are you here in the Dwarf Country to hunt?”

“Yes, as a Hunting God, fighting Evil Beasts, defeating larger and stronger Demon Species is both my hobby and my duty.”

“Including warding off the Beast Disaster, protecting a region?”

“Something like that.”

Scadi’s answer was ambiguous, but the gradually thawing frost on her face said it all.

“Then why didn’t you speak about these deeds of yours earlier at the venue?” Luo En asked, puzzled.

“Why should I? What do they think, and how does it concern me?” Scadi retorted.

Luo En, upon hearing this, couldn’t help but be at a loss for words.

Then, Scadi, thinking of her own experiences at the venue, scoffed derisively:

“Besides, in their eyes, giants are the incarnation of evil, no matter what I say or do, it’s always considered ulterior. What difference does it make whether I speak or not?”

Luo En nodded in agreement:

“Race does not represent glory. I’ve seen the most contemptible deities, and also the most noble giants.”

With that gaze falling upon her face, a faint blush surfaced on Scadi’s cold face; she turned her head to one side and said softly:

“You really are different from them.”

“It’s just that you haven’t met many people like me.” Luo En responded modestly.

Scadi smiled, noncommittally.

At the prior venue, from the initial dispute between the Light and Dark Elves to the subsequent incidents involving the giants and the Nibelungen, those who were willing to speak justly were always in the minority.

In both matters, the ones who continuously maintained an impartial attitude seemed to only be him.

If the former could still be said to be out of personal affection to protect a companion, then speaking for the notoriously infamous Giant Clan out of justice undoubtedly proved his inherently noble and upright nature.

This was starkly contrasting to another individual.

“Damned Loki!” Scadi couldn’t help but curse aloud.

“The God of Tricks from the Central Court?” Luo En feigned surprise, inquiring with confusion, “What about him? Does he have a grudge against you?”

“Something like that.” Scadi snorted coldly, “That fellow first used deceit to force the Giant Clan to retreat, then lured the Durin Clan of the dwarves with gold and liquor to betray us, the Mountain Giant Clan, and shift allegiance to the Middle Court. I used to hunt throughout the Northern Realm, but he took it all away with his schemes and machinations!”

Then, looking around at the dilapidated dwelling and the Durin Clan dwarves tormented by the Dragon Disaster, her tone grew even more indignant,

“According to the rules of the North, it’s nothing if he took it; it’s just the victor and the vanquished. But what I despise is, even though he was already the winner, he dropped his responsibilities, not knowing where he ran off to have fun, failing even to take care of his own subjects. What kind of Lord of the Middle Court is that?”

Being bluntly criticized like this, as the person involved, Luo En couldn’t help but be torn between laughter and tears, muttering inwardly.
