Chapter 48 Manners

The lecture hall was hushed. Everyone heard what Sebastian so confidently said. Sophia did not look fine. “You admit that I have the capabilities, but you think I still won’t get an offer from your company?”

She paused briefly and could not help but laugh. “So, are you saying I don’t have good enough manners?”

Sebastian was not scared by Sophia’s anger. He said expressionlessly, “I don’t think that. I’m just evaluating rationally. Your manners indeed do not meet the requirements of our company.” This was the ultimate mockery.

Many students began to laugh. Anita tugged on Sophia’s sleeve, persuading her to sit down and not argue with her brother.

Sophia stood her ground stubbornly and refused to admit defeat. “I don’t know what I did to make you think that I don’t have good enough manners.”

Sebastian naturally would not mention the fact that Sophia was pregnant in public. Although it was not a secret, it was inappropriate to discuss it in this situation.

“The way you’re arguing with me now, does it not show that you’re impulsive and emotional?”

This woke Sophia up. She fixed her expression and said sarcastically, “I shouldn’t have argued with the teacher who gave the lecture. Next time, I’ll stay calm and won’t be caught off

guard.”

She sat down and angrily turned away from Sebastian.

When the lecture ended, the students left. Anita stopped Sebastian and said unhappily, “Sebastian, what you said to Sophia earlier was too much!

“What do you mean by not good enough manners? If you say that, people who misunderstood might think that Sophia is a sociopath!”

Sebastian was indeed thoughtless. He glanced at Sophia who was still angry and took the initiative to apologize. “It was my mistake. Don’t worry. I will take care of it.”

Anita bravely pushed Sophia forward and demanded, “Then, apologize to Sophia.”

A pregnant woman should not be angered. It was not good for the baby’s health.

Sebastian felt that maybe he was good-tempered to tolerate Sophia being presumptuous about him so many times.

He said coldly, “Other than your naivety, you don’t seem to have much of a self-control either. You can’t even take charge of your private life, so I can’t recruit you.”

Sophia was already provoked, but this time he was mocking her so plainly for being unpure and lacking self-love. It made her angry enough.

Without warning, she retorted loudly, “No matter what you say, I still think that this has nothing to do with whether I am qualified for the job at NRTE! I will prove to you that even if I had intense sex with someone the night before and passed out, it will not affect my state of mind the next day at work!”

After Sophia lost her temper, she did not care to wait for Sebastian’s response before she left in a huff. Anita watched Sophia’s determination in leaving while observing her brother’s constantly changing expression. She did not even say goodbye to him before she ran after Sophia. Sebastian stood where he was. He smirked and then pulled a long face and got angry. What Sophia said kept echoing in his mind, and he clenched his fists even tighter.

What did she want to prove? That she could go to work the next day even if she had sex with someone the night before?

Like that night, she groaned under that man and called him “brother” with her lustful voice?

Sebastian’s face darkened with jealousy as he thought about it.

He couldn’t help but think that if he had been the one making love to Sophia, he wouldn’t have been as gentle with her as he had been in his dreams. He would have tormented her all night long, he would have left countless traces of himself on her-or he didn’t have to worry about the time of the day.
