The Saint disappeared behind his veil after that and the hall fell into complete silence. 

While the one behind the veil was feeling extremely upset, the one outside the veil was yawning and feeling tired. 

Noticing that the Saint was keeping quiet, Feng Ruchu did not want to poke the bear. She found herself a chair and began to doze off on it. 

The Saint stared at his finger that had just been bitten. There was a bite mark on his finger, and the person who had left the bite mark there was now lying in a chair, sleeping. 

The Saint began to feel bitter. ‘The glib tongue, the audacity, the lack of manners, the lack of respect, the rudeness, and the presumptuousness—you are beyond cure!’

Everything that the Saint had to say about Feng Ruchu could be summarised into four words: pain in the ass! 

“Your Grace, the emperor wishes to see the girl,” said Ling Bai from outside the hall after a while. 

“The emperor wants to see me? What for? To get even with me?” Feng Ruchu wasn’t really asleep and sprung up from her chair when she heard what Ling Bai said. 

“Are you scared?” The Saint asked casually from behind the veil. 

He always could turn the emperor down if she was scared.

That’s right. She could beg for his help… 

He would take that as a belated apology for biting him.

To his surprise, Feng Ruchu began to laugh and shrugged indifferently. “Scared? Why should I be? What will be, will be. Also, he is the ruler of the kingdom, so I’m sure it’s easy for him to get a hold of me whenever he wants.” Feng Ruchu dusted off her hands and walked towards the door.

She was not really worried about the emperor wanting to see her. After all, the emperor gave the order about sparing her life in front of all his officials and the six spiritual masters, and the Saint took her with him in the end. She trusted that the emperor did not ask for her just to kill her. 

That was why she was not scared to see him. 

“Your Grace, is ‘Cloud’ your name?” Feng Ruchu stopped at the door and turned to look in the direction of the veil. 

“Pardon?” The Saint asked in confusion. 

“I assumed you were a centenarian— I mean, I mistook you for an old man because of your name ‘Cloud’. It made you sound like an old man with white hair and eyebrows,” Feng Ruchu explained in an attempt to whitewash herself. 

In her memory which was old as the hills, she knew that Cloud and Earth were counterparts. 

“I am the owner of this Holy Cloud Palace—The Saint of the Cloud Mountain.” 

Feng Ruchu had learned that from the black cat earlier and was surprised that the Saint was actually patient enough to explain it to her. 

“Got it!” Feng Ruchu chuckled, about to leave. 

“Mo Qing.” Two words were whispered in the air. 

“What?” Feng Ruchu turned around to make sure she had heard correctly. 

“My name… is Mo Qing.” 

Ling Bai and the black cat were already waiting by the time Feng Ruchu exited the hall. 

The black cat looked excited as she had never gotten this near to the Jiuchong Palace for the three hundred years she had been here. 

But Ling Bai looked ferocious, especially when he saw Feng Ruchu coming out of Jiuchong Palace. He scoffed at Feng Ruchu arrogantly as he waved his hand to create a vortex in the middle of the air, then pushed Feng Ruchu and the black cat into the vortex without a word.
