The dragon’s attack was swift and vicious. Stunned by the heat and glare of the fire balls, Feng Ruchu stumbled briefly and a fireball hit her in the chest.

It started with one fireball, and was quickly followed by countless fireballs.

Before Feng Ruchu was drowned in them, a single petal that was floating in the air entered the dragon’s mouth. The dragon yelped in pain and started to flail wildly before it finally disappeared. When the dragon disappeared into thin air, the fireballs that were about to hit Feng Ruchu also disappeared.

A subtle floral fragrance instantly filled the hall.

Feng Ruchu looked bedraggled from being chased and attacked by the golden dragon. She felt pain in her lower jaw suddenly as if someone was gripping her chin, and a small pill was tossed into her mouth where it quickly dissolved.

“How dare you, Feng Ruchu?” A cold voice echoed in the hall contemptuously. Not long after, a fairy-like figure appeared in the hall.

He was still in his white attire which glowed like moonlight.

The only difference was that instead of a veil, the man was wearing a half-mask that covered the upper part of his face. Compared to the elegant image he gave off at the sacrificial site that day, he looked mysterious and untouchable this time.

With just one wave of his arm, Mo Qing put a green silk dress on Feng Ruchu and watched as she stared at him with her dirty face and wide eyes.

She was confused. What did she do?

“You soiled the clothes that I bestowed upon you,” said Mo Qing icily.

Though Mo Qing sounded like he was blaming Feng Ruchu, another wave of his hand cured the blisters that she got from the fireballs and soothed the burning sensation on her face.

“Your Grace!” All the officials in the hall got on their knees to greet the Saint, while the emperor and the crown prince bowed respectfully.
