Chapter 14.2

It had been five days since I arrived in Utopia, and I continued my life quietly as a hostage.

The day before, I met Yu-gyeom unexpectedly. But this day was the same as always.

“Hey! Why don’t you get up now?! It’s already 2 o’clock!”

I opened my eyes in surprise after hearing Lee Chan’s loud wake up call.

Unlike the thunderous and dark night, the sunlight was shining in the wide space. It was dazzling enough to melt my skin.

With a frown, I fixed my sweaty hair. My entire body was sweaty. I didn’t remember clearly, but it was apparent I had a nightmare again. It would be like this every time I slept. At this rate, I might really be ill.

As I groaned with my face buried in my hands, Lee Chan clicked his tongue.

Despite his dissatisfaction, I could hear his footsteps as he fulfilled my request. This guy had a very unique personality.

I knew that he was someone who could suddenly aim a gun at me even though he was being nice right now.

But it would be fine for the time being. Lee Chan was surprisingly nice to the weak, even though he would become relentless if we interfered with his mission.

I wished Lee Chan would think of me as someone weak.

“Calm down.”

As soon as I emptied the cold water in the cup that Lee Chan had brought me, my mind became much clearer.

Looking at the full-length mirror hanging in the closet, I could see Lee Chan was dressed in a neat and plain black suit.

His curly hair was also gelled. And in his hand was a strange black mask.

“What’s this?”

While Lee Chan was focused elsewhere, I reached out to him and grabbed the black mask.

The black mask with no special decorations was large enough to completely cover his entire face, making it difficult to tell who wore it.

“Is collecting masks your hobby?”

Lee Chan grabbed the mask and covered his face with it. The mask made him look serious.

Then, as if he had suddenly remembered something, he opened his eyes wide and went to the long table.

“Isn’t this better?”

After carefully scanning the table, Lee Chan picked up a unicorn mask with rainbow-colored feathers on both sides.

I shook my head hurriedly, holding back the laughter that almost came out.

While I was on the bed and covered with a blanket, I saw the table filled with colorful masks.

With little interest, I left the bed and went to Lee Chan’s side.

“Are you going to a masquerade?”

The types of masks were more diverse when I saw them more closely on the long table.

Lee Chan looked down at me through the unicorn mask.

Certainly, the unique mask’s design was so rare that it seemed difficult to recognize his identity.

I thought he was the only one who could pull it off, but didn’t it seem like people would think of him as a lunatic?

“I think this will suit you better.”

When I picked up a red see-through mask with a playful smile, a hand wrapped around mine suddenly. That person’s hands were surprisingly cold with visible veins in his snow-white skin.

“Really?”

I felt that person’s breath, and it tickled my face.

“Do you think this will suit Lee Chan?”

I got goosebumps when I heard his voice in my ears.

“Ah!”

As I looked back while covering my ears, Yu-gyeom laughed out loud and smiled.
